I have launched into countless expletive laded tirades due to the god awful play of #77.

That being said, and probably discussed at length in the game thread, his blocks on the 75yd play by Thigpen/Charles were fucking legendary. The first defensive player that #77 blocked went back 7 yards from the point of contact before hitting the ground. Damien then had the presence of mind to look around and find someone else to knock on their ass.

My favorite part of the play though was Mac following the play with his fist in the air. He kept up for a good 4-5 yards. LOL

Here is to you Mr. Crusher of defensive backs whom you outweigh by nearly double.

Do you happen to know how many sacks he's given up the last 7-8 weeks?

Those blocks were excellent. Too bad he waited 'til his last home game to finally make a play.

I can't stand the guy but man, when I saw him knock the piss out of a dude then shove another guy on top of the first one...I came unglued! I swear I watched it 10 times. Well done big fella...now get the hell outta here!

I saw it on the replay. He was like Godzilla in Cornerback Tokyo. It made me grin.

It really does suck that it was him and not Albert or Waters.

This.

I saw it and rewound while saying a silent prayer that it was Albert pulling or even Herby in for a play.

Alas, it was sackintosh, so there is really nothing positive to be taken from it.

According to Stats Inc., McIntosh has given up 7 sacks all year. I know he struggled very much early in the year, but could he be on pace to only give up 2 or so sacks the 2nd half of the season?

A mobile QB works wonders for the "sacks allowed" stat...

I'm sure Thiggy would love to see him benched or released for someone who can actually protect the QB and open up the run.

.

I don't know if this was Damien having the presence of mind to look around and see the other guy. I think the other guy surprised the shit out of him and this was his natural reaction.

We can always pretend that's Willie Roaf

It might. He also may have improved the 2nd half of the year. I've only seen highlights of the Miami game and he seemed to be giving Thigpen good protection on the highlights.

A bigger shock to me was seeing Charles get chased down at the 3. After all I've heard about his speed, I didn't expect to see him get caught. The defender had a little angle on him, but the defender was also outrunning him.

By the thread title, I would have bet money this had something to do with a fiddle of gold.

He said on postgame yesterday that he was wearing a lot more clothing than usual, and it might have slowed him down. He's never played in any game as cold as it was yesterday and kept piling on clothes.

I think he just happened to be at the right place at the right time for a change. And 2 defenders on an icy field happened to cross his path for a once-in-a-season highlight... This great play doesn't make up for an overwhelming majority of the opposite..

And if you win you get this shiny fiddle made of gold

He also got tripped up a bit during the beginning of the run. The guy who caught him was in a dead sprint the whole time. If Charles doesn't stumble, he probably scores even with the extra stuff weighing him down.

Mac just got props from Tom Jackson on the MNF pregame show...
