Viewing images in Firefox error - Help please

I get the following error anytime I try to open an image in another tab in firefox. It appears to be repeatedly refreshing. If I click back to the original tab for a moment, then come back to the image tab, the image is viewable. Here's the error I get:

The image "xxxxxx" cannot be displayed because it contains errors.

Any idea how to fix this? It's terribly annoying.

Could be a Skype issue...

If it is Skype, there's apparently a beta version of the FF plugin you could try instead of just disabling the extension entirely.
