Yeah, it's great to watch as an outsider. Hell of a game. I suppose I should clarify that I love watching games like this as a fan in general, but I don't want a team I follow playing this kind of battle of attrition football.

Yeah, but I don't think the Titans are being conservative. They've just had some dumb turnovers. No they aren't an explosive offense but I don't think they're playing Martyball out there. They've had some big plays and are taking shots downfield. There's a difference between good defensive football and Martyball.

They've had some big plays and are taking shots downfield. There's a difference between good defensive football and Martyball.Watching the 36-year old quarterback throw a wounded duck interception gave me uncomfortable flashbacks. But that's not really their 'fault' per se. I don't think they anticipated Collins on the field when the season started, or knew that Young was nutso.

It's not so much martyball as it's a game built entirely around field position. I just don't like it. That's great when you're playing against an inferior team. When you're in the playoffs, too often it ends up that the game changes on one play, and you don't have any control over it. That's really the only way it's martyball-esque. Leaves too much to chance.

Both teams are built this way, and it's looking like it's going to come down to the bounce of a ball on a random play. Unless somebody takes over in the 4th. Maybe the B-more defense will finally wear down.

Yeah, but it's the playoffs. It's really no different when two good offensive teams match up. Just like Tyree's ridiculous catch last year. The Ravens offense in this game has been pretty much two ridiculous plays by their WR's. Mason's great catch on his knees of a 48 yard pass, and two Titans defenders falling down so Clayton can make a great catch.

Aside from those two plays, the Ravens have 22 rushes for 31 yards, and Flacco is 7-17 for 45 yards. That's 1.9 yards a play.
