i havent had a home phone for a few years using strictly cell service because AT&T can lick my balls, but I was thinking about signing up for vonage. any thoughts?

Why not just stick with the cell phone?? I did hear Vonage raised their prices some though..

I like it. The best thing about Vonage, IMO is the fact that you can check your voicemail online.

It's not a big deal it's getting better....but can be a pain in the ass. But the 911 system doesn't automatically connect you to your local 911 center. So in a given emergency situation you may end up talking to 3 different people before you get to who you actually need to talk to.
At least that's what it's like in Columbia right now. Your area I don't know

I don't have Vonage but I do have VOIP through Time Warner Cable. It's $24.99 a month for unlimited North American calling. We've had it for a year and I'm happy with the service.

I lived in Phoenix for a year and a half. I had Vonage as a phone provider the whole time I was there. I loved every minute of it. I can't get a local number where I live currently through Vonage otherwise I would still be using their service. Just dont call 411 they charge a dollar everytime you do.
