Here's some pics of our new downtown pedestrian bridge that a local guy here took, I've always been very impressed with his work. The last one is frame quality IMO.

I dig 3 and 6 a lot. I started off with a lot of architecture type stuff and haven't done a lot of it lately.

Photos aside that is a pretty cool bridge.

I just posted some of these in the Pictures forum, but here are a few of my first ever Astro shots I took off of my deck tonight....even caught a shooting star....

There were done at around 7-15 sec exposures. I am just learning all this but needelss to say, you couldn't see 1/2 of what you see in the pic with your naked eye.

This is one thing I'll never get into, I don't think. I don't even own a real camera, and I don't think more than a handful of pictures of me are in existence. I'm not photogenic. At all. And I never really have this impulse that 'oooh, that would make a great picture' when i see something. Which is odd, i guess, for someone that works in the world of video.

I have like 6500pix on flickr but most are private family ones. I might have a few more to share if anyone is interested - perhaps religious perhaps not

I have always been meaning to sit down and do it. I know the process technically but have not tried it out. Alot of people are into it, some people do it very very well. Some people make it their whole collection which is kind of lame.

We were looking at the Canon Digital REbel XSi on Amazon for 639 seems like a pretty good value. Good reviews.
Thoughts from any of you shutterbugs?

Mind you, we've owned nothing but point-and shot before. Looking for something easy to use and give us new lens and light options for

The Canon Rebel series is a great starter camera for anyone. Relatively inexpensive, and Canon makes great glass.

Photography, at it's most basic, is the art of bending light. The most important piece of a camera is the lens.

Weird. I just bought this camera with my fantasy football winnings. I found it at Butterfly Photo for $609 total shipped with the 18-55 mm lens. It is little higher now at $628...not bad considering the same setup at Walmart costs $799 pre tax.

You can find it a little cheaper, but they usually will not be the US version of the camera which will void the warranty. You might consider Nebraska Furniture Mart. They have pretty good extended warranties.
