Stay in Columbus Friday night, drive up Saturday morning - spend the day in Canton - drive back to Columbus after the ceremony.

We need to get as many Chiefs Fans there as possible, to support DT and his family, and to show the HOF they should have done this earlier than when it was done....but showing up in mass numbers, would be a tribute to his family!

Must be nice to be able to afford to fly...

I'm driving in from STL, so it would be stupid of me to drive an hour north of Canton to stay - and make my trip back home 10 hours instead of the 7 it will be from Columbus.

Did you buy tickets for the ceremony yet?

It should have been the Chiefs vs Bills in the HOF Game. Not that I really care and no doubt that match-up would have set record low TV ratings in the history of primetime broadcast television... but it would have been appropriate not just to honor the guys from both teams going into the HOF this year, but also the fact the NFL will be marking the beginning of their season long celebration of the 50th anniversary of the AFL.

Actually, I just found out the wife may want to make the trip.

I just assumed I'd take a buddy - she usually turns down these kinds of events because she's been to them entertaining clients - Super Bowls, World Series, etc.

Sounds like we may make a long weekend of it in Cleveland and hit the R&R HOF as well.

Time to start looking for hotels...

One, because I'm driving in from St. Louis. No reason to drive PAST Canton and make the drive longer.

Two, hotel rates are out of fucking control around Canton.

I'm not sure what hotel. One of my friends travels a lot for work and he racks up hotel points. When he called the hotel they said they were full for that weekend, but since he was a preferred customer he could bump someone off their room. We got Fri-Sun at a hotel in Canton, but we may not stay there except for Fri. Just gonna play it by ear, since most of us would probably rather party in Cinci, Cle, Indy, or Pit(maybe go root for the Pirates against StL one night).

I definitely want to party in Canton with Chiefs fans on Fri night though. Not sure if we're gonna go to HOF game or not.

I got 4 tix, section 12 row AA seats 3 and 4, and section 12 row BB seats 3 and 4.

Can't wait!

Don't beat me for saying this, but:

You ordered a ticket for the enshrinement ceremony, right?

It shows where the seat is located.

Tickets to the museum itself is General Admission.

My guess is you just missed it. Here's what I saw when I ordered (boxed in yellow):

Hey everybody, don't post often but had to get the info on the trip...I'm headed up, got flights and hotel in Cleveland....anybody know what else is going on in Canton as far as parties, etc? I found some travel agent selling all these party packages but I assume they are just rip offs...I think we are just staying in Cleveland and heading down Saturday AM to Canton and back Saturday night. No desire to go to that game.

I went to Canton about 10 years ago...its awesome. Anybody know of other things to do in Cleveland? I've don't the R&R HOF and the Indians aren't in town that weekend...thinking about taking a trip over to Cedar Fair.
