Maybe I missed this somewhere, but with DT finally getting in, who do you think will speak at his induction ceremony? They usually have a presenter, and then the enshrinee speak, but will they have one or two people speak for him? Carl Peterson, Clark Hunt, Marty, Gunther, one of DT's kids? Just curious to what everyone thought.

It has to be Carl or his mother in my mind. I would prefer Carl. He deserves that much, IMO. I know people hate him but few were closer to Carl than DT, especially for his entire career.

According to the KC Star, it will be Carl. I was pretty shocked that it had already been determined.

“I’m elated for Derrick Thomas and the legacy of Derrick Thomas,” said Peterson, who will present Thomas at the Hall of Fame ceremonies.

I was hoping it would be Marty.

It says Carl will present. His mother will probably do the acceptance.

Carl didn't care about anyone but Carl.
One of his sons should have presented, there wouldn't have been a dry eye in the house. A truly special moment. Or even Marty. Marty would do an incredible job, IMO.
If they serve beer, then maybe Dole and I can play a drinking game during the speech.
Every time Carl says, "I", take a drink.
Drunkenness ensues.

I had a thought it might be Neil Smith because of their friendship. But Carls greatest decisions for the Chiefs were the hiring of Marty and the drafting of DT.

Neil would butcher it.

I disagree with this.
That's fine. I respect your opinion. Any anyone else who disagrees.
Carl just has this gift of making everything about him.
Here's hoping he has the common sense to remember why he's there to begin with...

I think Carl will do fine, but I would've rather seen Marty in that role.
