View Full Version : Football Who/What should be the halftime show at next years Super Bowl? The Poll!

The orginal thread for discussion and nominees is here:
http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showthread.php?t=201591

Doesn't seem like many people are happy with the way the half time show is done at the Super Bowl anymore. So lets come up with ideas and fix it.

I'll send an email to the NFL with the winning idea and when next years Super Bowl half time show is our idea we can gloat.

The history of who performed at each half time show:
http://www.nfl.com/superbowl/history/entertainment (http://www.nfl.com/superbowl/history/entertainment)

I'll keep track of the write-in nominees in this post. Write in votes must be public.

No worries mate. No offense taken. That's not my band, just my favorite.

BTW, they've gotten a bit of play on the Buzz as a matter of fact. Although the only TV advirtisement I've seen for them is when they were scheduled to play at the Midland in December. They just finished touring with "The Fray" so there may have been some TV ad time in the cities where they played - but not in KC.

Music is per the taste of the listener. Some like, some don't.

As big a Tool fan as I am, I must say that halftime show would royally suck. There's no way to get the full Tool experience in 15 minutes.

I'm not joking. Say what you will about his music, but he's the perfect live act for a Super Bowl halftime show. He's big on lighting effects, unique staging and other big, flashy elements that would be ideal for a "big event" type performance, and the Super Bowl halftime show is nothing if not a big event.

Dude, the only way Kanye gets onstage at the Super Bowl is by Executive Order.

That shit with Mike Meyers during Katrina was a "Please blackball me" moment of epic proportions.

Not that I don't agree with Mr. West. A person simply can not say enough negative things about Dipshit Jr.

Seriously? He's one of the top five biggest music stars in the world at the moment. The Katrina Telethon incident was centuries ago in media time. That would have no bearing whatsoever on the selection.

If they ever decide to change up from the old acts trend, I really think they'll go with Kanye.
