New Era Scouting (http://www.newerascouting.com/nfl-team-interest/) has a bit of information that we somehow missed last week. Apparently, the Kansas City Chiefs spoke with six players at the Senior Bowl two weeks ago.

Nathan Brown, QB, Central Arkansas
Rey Maualuga, ILB, USC
Mike Wallace, WR, Ole Miss
Pat White, QB, West Virginia
Brian Cushing, OLB, USC
Keenan Lewis, CB, Oregon State

Nathan Brown and Pat White are the two names that jump out at me immediately. Are one of these two the next Tom Brady or Matt Cassel?
Because this is the first bit of substantial information on specific players the Chiefs may (or may not) be targeting, we'll be taking a closer look at each player throughout the rest of the week.

Yes, how did we miss this? Usually a pretty thorough crowd.

Don't do it Gailey.....don't draft him.

Oh god..Nathan Brown was so horrendous in that game, and numerous times throughout practice looked like he didn't even belong there.

No way.

He'll go top 20. He's going to crush at the combine.

Maualuga could be a guy who could slip.

I figured that was were he would go anyways.

Me, too.

I think he's a late first rounder/early second rounder.

I'd hate to face him each and every year but that may be the case.

I still say we trade down to jags pick and take rey. In the move we can get maybe jags 2nd rounder too. I'd hate to play him two times a year for the nxt 10.

Throwing out the draft value chart, which doesn't match up point wise with this trade proposal, just who exactly do you think the Jags will be so taken with that they'll trade up to get him?

This draft is deep at LT, and only an idiot would trade up 5 spots to get at Crabtree.

I'd love to see any of the 3 USC LB's in the 2nd. Mathews looks stout also. Assuming we dont draft Curry in the 1st...

Matthews didn't really play OLB at SC...the other starting LB from SC is in the draft though.

Kaluka Maiava was the other starting OLB, right now, he's projected as a late rounder. Matthews was a reserve DE.

I think Maiava will succeed in the NFL to be honest. He's smart, he does what he's suppose to do and to say he wasn't the weak link with the players around him says something for him.

Pat White could make a good receiver or other utility player.

Like Antwan Randle El or something.
