Alan Keyes completely loses it...

Though many here have even stricter thoughts than Keyes (Hi HCF and Shithead) :)

I think he brings up some good points. Especially his comments at the end about how can a bankrupt government help a bankrupt economy. All I saw and heard was a man with a bigger platform than most express a lot of the concerns and questions we have here every day and that I am hearing more and more in my daily life.

Good interview.. Alan Keyes tends to go over the top sometimes.. but I can't ever disagree with anything he says.

I am still self learning economics so I will not claim to have THE answers. I do believe we are in a world of hurt and throwing fake money after fake money is not the answer. At best this may hold things off for a few more years but someday all this debt will come home to roost and everything will collapse and have to be restarted. The longer we wait to resolve the systemic issues related to things like fractional reserve banking among other things the harder the crash will be.

I think Alan Keyes is one of the most intelligent guys I've ever heard of, and he does indeed bring up some good points. I'd like to know just where he's supposed to be wrong in any of his assertions?

Good grief, I just counted up the falsehoods. It was like just a running false narrative. It's obvious that Keyes is bitter about how badly he was crushed in that election and it still eats him up.

1. Obama is a radical communist. (no he's not, and nothing in his voting record short of wild exaggeration could lead anyone to conclude this)
2. We will either stop him or the US will cease to exist. (false dichotomy)
3. Says Obama has "advocated infanticide" (pretty much an outright lie and distortion of a vote on a bill)
4.Claims Obama isn't a natural born citizen (the meritless case that has been debated her ad nauseam)
5. Refuses to call him president and calls him an "alleged usurper".
6. Claims that there are plans in an amnesty bill to make taxpayers pay for illegals housing, etc and to bring them here. (gross distortions of Obama's immigration platform).
7. Has a program to destroy existing mortrgages (?)

What were the good points?

If Keyes wasnt nuts, he would never get camera time. Hes no different than any of the nutbag left or right. Its all about TV face time for these people. Keys or Rangle or any other of these people add zero to the value of discussion other than entertainment.
