All of the financial "experts" laughing at him cracks me up. Who's laughing now?

You want a prediction? Here's Dorgan predicting this mess in 1999:

Gee, Europe never had a Glass Steagal law.
Q: How come they're in the same mess as us?
A: Central banking...it's world-wide nowadays!

Gee, Europe never had a Glass Stegall law.
Q: How come they're in the same mess as us?
A: Central banking...it's world-wide nowadays!
The only European banks that are in trouble are the ones that invested heavily overseas in our failing companies. The problem is not even remotely on the same order of magnitude over there because their exposure is not nearly so bad. Just the private banks that were interdependent on the American hedge funds and their derivatives. It has nothing to do with central banking, nor do you have anything which would show that it would.
China does have a Glass Stegall law and its financials are relatively healthy. Its export market to us has suffered though.

Sounds to me like Merrill Lynch won Ben Stein's money.
