I would swap out Brace for Unger and Wood for Urbik.

I would swap out Brace for Unger and Wood for Urbik.

After seeing how fluid Jamon Meredith moves his feet, combined with his frame which allows for some added weight, I'd swap him out for Brace.

I'd stick with the other three picks.

We'd have Wood at center, slide Niswanger out to RG and Meredith to RT.

With Albert and Waters, that would be a big strong, athletic line.

I don't see how Wood would last to the fourth or Barwin to the 3rd.

Wow, now this would be nice. But I don't see it possible either.

Yea, really. I heard them saying on NFLN that he could easily at the top of the 3rd.

I don't see how Wood would last to the fourth or Barwin to the 3rd.

Wood, Unger, and Mack will be taken by the mid- to late third round at the latest.

Versatile group of interior lineman.

Perfect most all my favorite's unfortunately Wood will not be there in the 4th and I
doubt conner will be there in 3rd. Some trading would have to take place for this to happen but i like how you think.

Personally, I would be ecstatic if we went QB, Barwin, Wood. We'd be lucky to get that.

The new one shows

Mark Sanchez
Ron Brace
Lawrence Sidbury
AQ Shipley

So if it fell like that....I think I'd rather go.

Sanchez
Heyward-Bey
Sidbury
Urbik

Hopefully sign Brown in FA and that would shore up the offensive line with one draftpick.

that 3rd and 4th round picks(barwin, wood) look pretty dam good

Raji's teammate. I posted a link the other day (I don't rememberr where, tho) that called him the best NT in the draft.

I thought he had a very underwhelming Senior Bowl week.

I don't know. He is apparently moving up the draft charts and is considered a late 1st, early 2nd.

Walters has updated again as of yesterday.

#3 Sanchez
#34 Brace
#67 Sidbury DE/OLB Richmond
#98 Shipley C Penn State

And just for the heck of it, if the Cassel thing goes down, Maualuga is slated for the #23 pick owned by the Patriots right now. And Matthews is sitting at #36 right behind Brace.

Brown's gone now, and Heyward-Bey won't make it to us in the 2nd. Unless he gets busted with drugs or smacks a bitch.

You never know last year there were several "locks" and none went in the 1st.

This is the latest with Curry slotted to #3 overall

Thanks for the e-mail.

Curry will play ILB in the 3-4, so his pass-rushing isn't going to be an issue. He's the top defensive player in the draft, but I won't discount Brian Orakpo.

Walt

and here's my E-mail

Look for KC to either draft B.J. Raji, because they'll slide Dorsey out at end. The other most likely option will be Everett Brown due to his pass rushing prowess that Curry is very inexperienced at which devalues him in KC's eyes. If KC were running a Cover 2, I'd completely agree that he could be the pick, but they are instituting a 3-4 and he's a not a pass rushing LB like LT or Derrick Thomas.

Dorsey's not going to work at End.
I'd be all for us taking Everette Brown though.

Then he'll be lost in the shuffle then

I'll be all for the Chiefs trading down in the first round, even if the "value" isn't met exactly to the Value Chart.

I could see the Chiefs dropping down to 8 or 10, then moving back to 13 or 14, picking up at least four extra picks in the process.

This team needs as many as four starting offensive lineman, one starting receiver and a "big" RB. The defensive holes probably won't be filled in the 2009 draft (due to lack of talent) but if the Chiefs could solidify their offense with a core of young players, they'll be set to fill those defensive holes in the 2010 draft.

If we wind up at 14 we should net us 3-4 extra draft picks (#2, #3, #4).
Who would you draft there at 14?

I wouldn't mind trading down though.
Get that #2 back Scotty.

This is what's basically going to have to happen....either that or we're going to have to reach hard.

Curry has actually lost value now that we're going to the 3-4. Even Raji at #3 is a reach.

We're going to have to trade back to around 8-10 and hopefully either get Raji....or grab Everette Brown.

Big like Shonn Greene big? The guys has incredible finesse for a guy his size. He only ran a 4.6 or something, but no runningback broke a 4.5 so I'm alright with that.

Here is the new one:
1. Aaron Curry LB Wake Forest
3. Chris Baker DT Hampton
4. Lawerence Sidbury DE/LB Richmond

At 14? I wouldn't be surprised at all to see Heyward-Bey go to the Chiefs in that scenario. Haley's a WR coach at heart and he opposite D-Bowe, Gonzalez with Cassel at the helm could be quite enticing to Pioli.

Pioli's is known to value players differently than the rest of the league so a move like this wouldn't be surprising.

As I've mentioned before, getting additional picks by moving down would also allow the Chiefs to address all of their needs on the offensive line.

There's NO WAY that Pioli sends Cassel out there behind Niswanger, Jones & Sackintosh.

Jeff Gordon, Rams beat writer, in chat on stltoday.com says Spagnoulo/others are in love with Curry and don't think any of the tackles in the draft are worth the #2 overall pick.

For what its worth.

Thanks for the info. This could make it harder to get trade options unless Stafford falls or someone greatly prefers Smith or Monroe over the other.
