Okay, so you're not a n00b, you just post as often per year as I do per day...

I agree for the most part, but it'll probably come down to a few turnovers or a few stupid fouls, both of which I'm sure the Jayhawks are working on as much as possible leading up to the game. I think it could be another ugly game, but Self is good at breaking the press, so if they can just hold onto the ball a little and keep the turnovers down around 17 this time (26 in Columbia :banghead: )...

KU has problems coming out in the second half. It's happened in just about every single game this year.

I know there was a reason KU had 27 turnovers, but on defense in the 1st half, we were playing pretty well. The second half was obviously a different story. Just couldn't handle the pressure. I don't expect it to be nearly as intense at AFH.

I dunno even know what this post means. From what I know you have to rebound first with your big men then outlet to a guard and go. Some of the best secondary break teams do this. It has nothing to do with system. ROFL even thinking of that.

FACT: MU has no size down low. NONE, and it kills them on the boards.

And Missouri has had problems all year in the first half. Last night was the first time in a long time where we actually played better in the first half than the second.

According to the stats, it doesn't seem like kansas ever truly handles pressure defense well. Last in the Big 12 in turnover margin is not a good stat. Luckily you have a beast inside that can dominate pretty much everyone else in the conference.

You don't know what this post means? I'll post it again for everyone's reference:

Seriously? You think a system that has players crash the boards on defense should have the same rebounds as a team that employs a fast break style?

I am not sure why that is too confusing for you. Maybe I should go slower.

You see, in basketball, each team has 5 players on the court at once. While on defense, a team has a couple of strategical options: they could choose to focus on rebounding by keeping all 5 players in when a shot goes up, or they could attempt to exploit potential fast break basket opportunities by having a few guards head down the court before the ball has always been properly secured by their team.

Hopefully, you can see that there are pros and cons to both of these strategies. The strategy that Missouri employs gives them many fast break opportunities but they also often end up getting outrebounded.

Serious question: have you played basketball before? It's kind of embarrassing that anyone would have to explain this to you, but considering both MU and KU fans hate you on this board, it's also quite hilarious.

Ummm, yeah. KU pretty much does that to everybody. Year in and year out KU is one of the top FG % defenses in the country. The main reason your team did much better in the second half at MU was because KU turned it over way too much. Yeah, you could say MU does that to everyone. I would counter with KU does that in many games due to being young and inexperienced. I just don't see MU having a 2nd half this time around like that time.

Self has proven in the past that his teams can handle that 40 minutes BS. They just have to stop making silly TOs. That is MU's main offense. Trap, steal, and fast break layup. What happens when the trap doesn't work so well on an opponent? That gimmick style doesn't win the game for ya.

I am still not sure why you're so convinced MU is going to sweep KU.
Posted via Mobile Device

Are you talking to me? If so, I'm certainly not "convinced", but I hope we win and think we have a shot considering we did win earlier this year and we have a great team.

I'm not going to predict anything though - just like to slap around the little bitch on the playground, Gonzo.

It's hilarious and a bit scary that your ass still hurts from comments I made in a thread from 2008.

You are a sensitive little girl, but I have to admit, it makes me feel good that I have obviously pissed you off so much.

Do you ever take it out on your dog like the other kids at ku?

Seriously, do we need to put you on suicide watch if Mizzou happens to win on Sunday? I'm concerned about your well-being - if you take message boards this seriously, god knows what you'd do if mizzou bent over ku twice in the same season.I was pretty involved in that football game thread, and it isn't too difficult to remember someone saying something as fucking dumb as "nobody gives a shit about basketball outside of ku and unc fans."

Not to mention, the last time I pointed out your dumbassery, I got pos. rep for it, so that little link it pretty easy for me to find.

If Mizzou wins on Sunday, I'll carry on, like I presume you and some other overconfident fuckers did after we beat you on a nuetral field by 3 points in "the only sport that matters."

LOL. You'll carry on like we did? OMG, that is fucking rich. You guys beat us on the football field and acted like you won the god damn super bowl. I've never seen a more pathetic display. However, every single Mizzou fan on here took it well and accepted the defeat like a man.

On the other hand, Mizzou beat ku in bball this year, and all we hear is that we got lucky, wait until you come to lawrence, when was the last you won there, you don't have a chance, etc. Some take it well, but most of you are such f'n vaginas when you lose and you can never give another team props, much like how you're acting in this thread you tard.

We didn't even belong on the same field by the way some MU fans rubbed it in. Hell, one even posted a video of a bunch MUrons in a bar celebrating KU losing to USF. You guys dished out the shit for an entire year and KU fans had to take it. Now you're gonna cry because KU fans gave it back when our football team beat your team? Not to mention a lucky "bounce" off the rim for a 3 to tie; as well as the game winner doing the same thing. That's awesome.... so fitting that the Mizzou side starts by showing his superiority complex and goes on to say almost nothing about actual games. Yeah, if you can't find anything to talk about on the field/court, just talk down to us while using broad generalizations. Oh, except for the 'B' team smack. Hilarious!! LMAO

And what's this analogy all about?
Missouri is to good what kansas is to evil.

Uh, like how 'up is to down'? Nice choice of words for an English major. :doh!:

And oh yeah, I still can't believe they blitzed the safety. :D

DeMarre Carroll (http://missouri.rivals.com/bviewplayer.asp?Player=48561) remembers the conversation with his uncle. Shortly after making the decision to transfer from Vanderbilt to Missouri, Carroll sat in Mike Anderson (http://missouri.rivals.com/viewcoach.asp?Coach=1208)'s office.

"He already said there were going to be some rough times. But by the time you leave here, you're going to be a proud man."

No one is calling Anderson a prophet. But in this season which has seen Missouri rise to 24-and-4 and a national ranking as high as No. 8, some are saying he's done the best coaching job in the country. But to simply leave it at that does a disservice to the long-time fans of Missouri basketball. The perpetrators of this run—the Tiger players—don't know. They admit they don't know.

"I never knew about Missouri," said first-year Tiger Keith Ramsey (http://missouri.rivals.com/bviewplayer.asp?Player=409503). "I didn't know what conference they were in."

"I kind of was able to be around long enough to pick up some of the history of the program," said Zaire Taylor (http://missouri.rivals.com/bviewplayer.asp?Player=411040), in his second season after transferring from Delaware.

"When I first got here," Carroll admits, "I didn't know nothing."

Quin Snyder? Ricky Clemmons? NCAA probation? Jail-house phone conversations? It's all a part of the recent history of Missouri basketball. The players may not know the sordid details, but the fans do. Generations of proud Tiger loyalists who had puffed out their chests after four consecutive Big Eight titles in the early eighties, after an unbeaten conference season and a No. 1 seed in the NCAA tournament in 1994, after four tournament bids and an Elite Eight run in Snyder's first four years, didn't just die a little in the five years before this one. They died a lot. They did the unthinkable—they nearly lost their allegiance to the program they had so loved.

"I used to follow them on TV. My heart was with them the whole time during the recruiting process," freshman forward Laurence Bowers (http://missouri.rivals.com/bviewplayer.asp?Player=409504) said. "To see the arena with that many people in there, there wasn't nobody there last year."

"I get a feeling of it. Seeing how many people were at the football games in the fall and then seeing how little people were at our games at the beginning of the year," said fellow freshman Kim English (http://missouri.rivals.com/bviewplayer.asp?Player=409505). "And now to just walk around campus, how excited people are and just loving it. Me, I score like two points, and people are like, 'Great game, man. You guys are doing great.'"

With the sarcasm dripping off his tongue, English smiles: "I'm like, 'Thanks.'"

These Tigers have brought the passion back to Missouri basketball. And because of all those things that happened since Missouri last played in the Big Dance, this season means even a little bit more.

"When I first wanted to come here, I kind of had that vision that this could be that marquee season where Missouri basketball could be turned around."

"At first, I was like, 'Wow, man, is this what I got myself into?'" Carroll admits. "And now I look at it like it was a blessing in disguise. Coach says it's good that all this happened and I think it happened for the best."

The Tigers are happy for themselves. They are pleased with the season. But they don't really get a sense of how special it has been, how much it has meant, until they leave the confines of Mizzou Arena.

"Last year when we was getting in all that trouble, it was kind of down then," Carroll said. "Now I can't go nowhere without someone recognizing me, signing autographs, saying 'What's up?' It's good when you can go somewhere and people will recognize and notice you and always give you congratulations on the kind of season you're having."

"I think what we're doing is special for the community, for our coach because he finally got his players here, and just for us here to have a great season for these seniors," Bowers adds. "They're giving it all to experience this season and all of us, the freshmen and the underclassmen, we're doing it for the seniors and our coach."

More than that, they're doing it for a state. They're doing it for the thousands of fans who have stayed home the last five years.

"We're doing it for them," English said. "We play to win the games, but I'm doing it for the fans."

On Sunday, Missouri plays its 29th game of the season. The Tigers travel to Kansas with first place in the Big 12 on the line. The fans are back. They are energized. They are happy with this season and the direction of the program. But the Tiger players cannot adopt that mindset.

"This is a special season. I feel like the team is at a point where we could possibly make history," Taylor says, before launching a warning. "You've got to take it one game at a time. With that being said, this can be a special season and I hope this is just the beginning."

"We keep winning," Carroll said. "All my dreams will come true."

Along with those of an entire fan base.

Good Lord. Are you guys really that freakin' dense? After that game and all year long until the next game, all KU fans heard was how great MU football was and how much better than KU they were. A team that was a preseason pick to win the national title? A team with a Heisman trophy candidate? Funny how some MU fans act like the victims.

Bilas Breakdown of the Must-See Game

By Jay Bilas, ESPN
No. 8 Missouri at No. 15 Kansas

Mizzou is a talented team having a great year and has vaulted back into the Top 10 behind the great play of [URL="http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/player/profile?playerId=22107"]DeMarre Carroll (http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/?topId=3939681), Leo Lyons (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/player/profile?playerId=27144) and J.T. Tiller (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/player/profile?playerId=31796). The Tigers play an all-out, pressing style that thrives on chaos and to beat it, Kansas will have to attack Missouri's pressure at the point it is applied.

When teams press full court, it creates opportunities. There is an opportunity for the pressing team to turn the opponent over and score easy baskets. Remember, when there are "live ball" turnovers against full-court pressure, the defensive team not only has an advantage, but it is closer to the basket and harder to stop once it has possession.

http://espn.go.com/i/ncaa/cgd_100X100.gif </B>Join Rece Davis, Jay Bilas, Hubert Davis, Digger Phelps and Bob Knight in Berkeley, Calif., on Saturday as they break down the day in college basketball. (ESPN, 11 a.m. & 8 p.m. ET)

Missouri does a great job of getting steals and forcing tough passes, and scoring off of those miscues. But pressing also creates opportunities for the offensive team. If Kansas can handle the pressure -- if they can "catch and face" and make a play -- the Jayhawks will have advantageous situations on the back end of the press. They must be strong with the ball, present themselves as receivers and look to attack in order to punish Missouri for pressing.

This game is the classic example of why round-robin games in conference play are so important. Missouri clipped Kansas in a tight game in Columbia, and now KU gets a chance to redeem itself. Do you think the Jayhawks will be ready to play a heated rival with the Big 12 title on the line, with some Digger-esque "payback" on their minds as well?

Kansas is emerging as one of those teams you don't want to play in March, and this could be Bill Self's best coaching job to date in Lawrence. This is a young team, and Self has pushed all of the right buttons. The leaders of the team are Sherron Collins (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/player/profile?playerId=31788) and Cole Aldrich (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/player/profile?playerId=36170), but freshman Tyshawn Taylor (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/player/profile?playerId=41766) and junior college transfer Mario Little (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/player/profile?playerId=41768) have played major roles down the stretch to put Kansas in the driver's seat for the Big 12 title.

Key Matchup: Sherron Collins vs. J.T. Tiller

Collins is the heart and soul of this Kansas team. He is a courageous driver and a clutch player who has not an ounce of fear in him. Collins has had a great year, and if not for Oklahoma's Blake Griffin (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/player/profile?playerId=36259), would make a great case for Big 12 Player of the Year. Tiller may very well be the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year, and can impact a game without scoring a point. Tiller is disruptive and tenacious, and when he locks down on you, you stay locked down.

http://a.espncdn.com/photo/2009/0226/ncb_g_mizzu2_300.jpg Jamie Squire/Getty Images
Tyshawn Taylor has given Kansas a much-needed offensive boost this season.

X-Factors: Missouri doesn't really have anyone to match up with Aldrich, but the style of the game can keep him from truly exploiting his size and skill advantage in the post. Watch for Taylor and Lyons as the guys who can be really big contributors. Taylor is going to be a star, and he can play in the open court. He should get plenty of chances to operate in space against Missouri's pressure. Lyons is one of the most talented frontcourt players in the league and will spend time matched up with a freshman. Lyons should be able to win his matchup.

X's & O's to Watch: Keep an eye on the Kansas ball screen offense. The Jayhawks set a lot of wing ball screens, usually slipping the first one and following one on-ball screen with another one. When KU gets the ball moving from side to side with ball screens, the Jayhawks usually get something good, whether a lob dunk, a duck-in, or a drive-and-kick opportunity. Missouri cannot allow Kansas to reverse the ball at will, or it will be free cheeseburgers at The Wheel for everyone.

Key Stats: Turnovers and rebounding
The key to this game will be extra possessions. If Missouri can turn Kansas over, the Tigers can get more shots. If Kansas can dominate the glass, the Jayhawks can get more shots. And the team that is quicker to loose balls is a real key. Why can't we have "50-50 balls" as a stat in a box score? Those are as important as anything in deciding a game.

Who Wins? Kansas gave up a lead in Columbia to a very determined Missouri team. The Jayhawks will be the tougher, more determined team in Lawrence. This game is why both teams have worked so hard all season … the chance to play late in the season with a championship on the line.

Kansas wins this one at home.

Seriously though, the first half was an abortion despite Kansas having a 14 point lead at halftime. Missouri's ineptness on offense was starting to annoy me... well, I was coping with the annoyance by laughing, but still. The second half was better from a unbiased point of view, but wasn't much better for me. That game sucked, and not because of the outcome, but because it sucked.

I'm really hoping Kansas' week of plus Mizzou being on the road & coming off such a dominant win doesn't produce the same first half.

LAWRENCE, KS--Missouri looks to stretch its winning streak to eight as the Tigers travel to Lawrence to face Kansas in a nationally televised game for first place in the Big 12 Conference. Missouri is 24-and-4 and 11-and-2 in Big 12 play. Kansas is 23-and-5 and 12-and-1. Kansas leads the series 166-94, including 85-33 in Lawrence. PowerMizzou.com has the preview:

<CENTER style="FONT-SIZE: 9pt">Three Things You Need to Know About the Jayhawks</CENTER>

<!-- End Collins, Sherron 200 Image-->One for the Thumb: Kansas is chasing its fifth consecutive Big 12 championship in the regular season. But this one would be the only title that could be considered a surprise. The Jayhawks were picked fourth in the league in the preseason after losing more than 85% of their scoring from last season's squad.

Collins Elevates his Game: After going just 4-for-13 and struggling with nine points against six turnovers against Missouri, Jayhawk guard Sherron Collins (http://missouri.rivals.com/bviewplayer.asp?Player=76375) has caught fire. KU's leading scorer has 89 points and 19 assists in four wins since the setback in Columbia. Collins has turned the ball over nine times total since that loss. Interestingly, though, against Iowa State and Nebraska, Collins did not have a turnover. However, he had five against Kansas State and four against Oklahoma.

Protecting Their House: Kansas holds the nation's longest home-court winning streak at 39 consecutive games. The last home loss for the Jayhawks came on February 3, 2007, a 69-66 setback to Texas A&M. Meanwhile, the Tigers have lost nine straight in Allen Fieldhouse. In an oddity, though, Mizzou has won in Lawrence in each of the last four years ending in nine (1969, 79, 89 and 99).

<CENTER style="FONT-SIZE: 9pt">Three Things You Need to Know About the Tigers</CENTER>

Doing it All: In a 94-74 win over Kansas State, the Tigers became the first Missouri team ever to amass 500 assists, 300 steals and 100 blocked shots in a single season. In fact, Mizzou has already set a school record for steals and is on pace to tie the 1998-99 Nebraska Cornhuskers for the Big 12 record at 10.9 thefts per game. Both J.T. Tiller (http://missouri.rivals.com/bviewplayer.asp?Player=76422) and Zaire Taylor (http://missouri.rivals.com/bviewplayer.asp?Player=411040) rank in the conference's top five individually in steals. As a team, Mizzou is second nationally in steals and first in assists with 19 per game.

<!-- End leo lyons 267 tt Image-->An Even Dozen: A win on Sunday would be the Tigers 12th in Big 12 play. No Missouri team has ever won that many league games since the conference was formed in 1996. Mizzou finished 11-and-5 in 1998-99, the only time the Tigers have finished in the top four of the conference. This year's team can finish no worse than third. The 12 conference wins would be Missouri's most since the 1993-94 team went 14-and-0 in Big Eight play. A win would also give Missouri eight in a row, which has never happened in Big 12 play. Missouri is coming off a perfect month. The Tigers went 7-and-0 in February, the second-most wins they have ever had in that month.

Balanced Attack: Much was made of six different players leading Missouri in scoring in the first seven Big 12 games. But that balance has continued. On the season, Missouri has had 11 players reach double digits in scoring. In 12 games, the Tigers have had four players in double digits. Mizzou averages more than 80 a game despite having only two individuals score 30 or more (Leo Lyons (http://missouri.rivals.com/bviewplayer.asp?Player=79909) and DeMarre Carroll (http://missouri.rivals.com/bviewplayer.asp?Player=48561) hit that mark in back-to-back games). The balance doesn't stop in the scoring column. The Tigers have ten players with 20 or more assists this season, which has never happened before.

<CENTER style="FONT-SIZE: 9pt">Three Keys to the Game</CENTER>

Contain Collins: Bar none, this was the biggest key to the Tigers' win in Columbia. If he is shooting the way he did against Oklahoma, Kansas is very, very tough to beat because it opens things up much more on the inside. Collins never got in a rhythm against the Tigers and was worn down when Mizzou made its late second-half comeback (see the missed free throws by one of the league's best shooters). It isn't likely the Tigers can force Collins into as poor a game as he had the first time around, but they can't let him go off for 25 either.

Attack Aldrich: Cole Aldrich (http://missouri.rivals.com/bviewplayer.asp?Player=83736) was dominant defensively in Columbia. He was credited with five blocks, but it seemed he had twice that many. Lyons and Carroll actually seem like the type of players that could cause Aldrich problems. Both are capable of catching the ball outside and either hitting jump shots or driving around the Kansas big man. Mizzou clearly has the quickness advantage in the frontcourt. Lyons and Carroll won't win a game trying to post up against Aldrich, but if they can make a couple of outside shots and draw him out of the paint, they can drive around him or hit an open teammate with a pass. The Tigers didn't make anything for the first 30 minutes in Columbia. They're going to have to on Sunday.

Survive the Emotion: Allen Fieldhouse is always nuts. It will be even more so on Sunday. The Jayhawks will have not only the emotion of the crowd, but also the motivation of revenge on their sides. For proof that this means something, see what the Tigers did to Kansas State and Nebraska in home rematches. Missouri does not have to lead at halftime, but they can't be out of the game. If the Tigers trail by double digits like they did in Columbia, it's tough to envision a comeback. Getting to the break within about six points would have make Mizzou fans happy.

Official Prediction: There is no doubt the Tigers can win this game. They only showed up for about eight minutes in Columbia and they still beat the Jayhawks. Expect both teams to play much better than they did the first time around. Mizzou can still play the "no respect" card to some extent because almost no one is picking them to win this game. Of course, there's a reason for that. The Jayhawks comes into this one with 11 wins in 12 games themselves and haven't lost on their home court in more than two years. We don't see Sunday being the first time.

The Tigers play well, but fall short as Kansas comes out on top 76-70.

PowerMizzou.com will provide complete coverage from Allen Fieldhouse this afternoon.

Mike Anderson (http://missouri.rivals.com/viewcoach.asp?Coach=1208) has a few go-to phrases during his interviews. Anderson always likes to say, "We're gonna be in the hunt for something."

<!-- End mike anderson 267 ku Image-->Kim English (http://missouri.rivals.com/bviewplayer.asp?Player=409505) finishes the cliché: "We just don't know what."

Now, the Tigers know.

"Coach is humble and he's pretty reserved, but all of us know what we're in the hunt for," English said. "We're in the hunt for a Big 12 and a national championship. That's why we work so hard. We're a young team, but we lace them up every day to play."

The next step in that quest comes Sunday in Lawrence, KS. The Tigers sit 11-and-2 in Big 12 play, a game behind the league-leading Jayhawks. With a win, though the teams would be tied, Missouri would have the inside track to the title by virtue of a season sweep of its arch-rival.

"It feels good to actually have control of our destiny," J.T. Tiller (http://missouri.rivals.com/bviewplayer.asp?Player=76422) said.

Even Anderson admits what is now on the horizon for his team, after trying to repeat his well-worn phrase.

"We're in the hunt for something, what it is I don't know, but I think we're going in the right direction," Anderson said. "We all know there's a conference championship that's at stake and we control our own destiny. I think that's the biggest thing."

With wins in their final three regular season games, Missouri would win the league title. But beating the Jayhawks is a must. If Mizzou were to lose, they would fall two games behind Kansas with two to play. Even with a tie, Missouri would not be able to get the No. 1 seed because Kansas has a better record against the rest of the North Division teams this season.

"Our approach never changes. It's the next game and Kansas is going to be our next game," Anderson said. "We're going to get focused and get ready for it."

Getting ready for it is a little different this time around. Six of regular players in Missouri's rotation have never played a game at Allen Fieldhouse.

"Can't really tell you," Laurence Bowers (http://missouri.rivals.com/bviewplayer.asp?Player=409504) said when asked what he expects. "Never played there, but I've heard many stories about it and how tough it is. I really can't tell you."

"I don't have any sense of it at all," Keith Ramsey (http://missouri.rivals.com/bviewplayer.asp?Player=409503) added. "I heard about it. I heard it's a rough place and we better be ready for it."

Of the newcomers, only Marcus Denmon (http://missouri.rivals.com/bviewplayer.asp?Player=409502) a freshman who played his high school ball in Kansas City and was recruited somewhat by the Jayhawks, has been to a game in Lawrence.

"It's the perfect basketball environment," Denmon said. "They come out, their fans sell out every game. It's going to be fun."

Perhaps the naivete could work in Missouri's favor. Anderson spoke of it sometimes being good to have no expectations of what you are are about to face. Asked how different it will be to walk out of the tunnel rather than watch a game at Allen Fieldhouse from the stands, Denmon channeled Norman Dale, the coach of Hickory High made famous by Gene Hackman's portrayal in the movie Hoosiers.

"I expect the floor to be 94 feet, free throw line 15, same thing," Denmon said. "Just a lot more energy, the way the crowd will be into the game, it'll be loud and all that. It should be fun."

Just another game? Not even close. DeMarre Carroll (http://missouri.rivals.com/bviewplayer.asp?Player=48561) remembers when he first got to Mizzou and his cousin, Michael Anderson, Jr., was telling him about the place.

"He told me, 'You're going to trip out when you see this.' And he showed me the Kansas game, I guess, when the Kansas dude missed the free throws, Moody or whatever. And they went crazy. He was just like, 'Man, they got big time rivalries up here,'" Carroll said. "When I first got here, I was like, 'Why you all hate KU?' I really didn't get why they hate them. As I keep playing, the way they play, the way their fans act towards us, I kind of see why they hate them. I guess I'm falling in that mode of Missouri versus KU, I kind of dislike them just like they dislike us."

This one is different. But the key, the Tigers know, is the same as any other game on the road.

"We are all we have right now," Tiller said. "We'll have a couple of fans that come to the game when you go on the road, but we've got to contain the crowd, keep them out of the game and play our defensive game."

Key player in the game is Sherron Collins. If he plays anywhere near as poorly as he did in Columbia, the Tigers' chances go up exponentially. If he plays anywhere near as well as he did in Norman, it's going to be very, very tough for the Tigers to win.

On Missouri's side, I think the key is getting contributions from somewhere you don't expect it. Of course you need Leo and DeMarre to be good and Tiller has to play good defense, but if Mizzou is going to win, I think the hero may be someone we're not expecting like Kim English or Marcus Denmon. You win games like this by getting players to give you more than they normally give you.

Now, that said, I'm not going to be shocked to see Missouri win this game.

But I don't expect them to. This would be the best win the Tigers have had in YEARS. I think Kansas jumps out to a ten-point lead early and just kind of keeps the Tigers at arm's length. I don't think Mizzou is going to get blown out, but I'm not sure they're going to make a major run at the Jayhawks either.

Anyway, like it or hate it, you have to admit this is a phenomenal place to watch a college basketball game. This is only my second game here. The first was in 1996 as a fan. Had a friend who got me a ticket in the KU student section. Good times, bad result.

The Tigers and Jayhawks will tip at 1:00 on Sunday afternoon.

Odd how this ended up being called out of bounce on MU. You could see the ball bouncing off Aldrich's chest as they went to commercial.

The most pathetic showing of an MU start I've witnessed in a long time.

For an 8th ranked team this was beyond horrendous.

I am so dissapointed and pissed off at this team.

They really are once again just a f'ing fraud.

Your team is much improved, but you're still going to get your asses spanked on the Big Bird hardwoods.

http://images.stltoday.com/stltoday/resources/lyonsdunks625dec1.jpg

And right below it, I said football > basketball, which it is you shit for brains. Just because I like football more than basketball doesn't mean I will not root for Mizzou basketball, especially when they're a top ten team on the verge of sweeping kansas.

Why do you still have "MIZZOWNED" under your avatar? ku certainly owned us last game.....LOL. I can't wait to get "MIZZOWNED" again.

Horrible game, but luckily this only counts as 1 loss.

All in all, I'm really not incredibly upset. Mizzou played awful and ku was on fire. It happens, especially in a place like AFH. Mizzou just walked into a hornet's nest and we could not stop the momentum once ku started rolling.

Bottom line, with a win on Wednesday, Mizzou will finish 2nd in the Big 12 in a year they were predicted to finish 7th or 8th. We've had some really big wins this year, and it finally looks like the program is back on track.

Sports are not black and white; Mizzou wouldn't have been the best team in the nation if we won today, just like we're not awful or a fraud for losing.

Take some time to learn from our mistakes, but forget this game in the next 24 hours to get ready to play a huge game against OU.
