View Full Version : Poop Create a random album cover

This is a blast! Use Random Bits of the web to come up with an eerily awesome album cover.
This is a tiny bit labor intensive... But. If you have a moment, it's really quite fun!

This will be your new album cover. It's no fun if you don't play along, so stick to the instructions buddy!

1 - Go to "wikipedia." Hit “random”
or click http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Random
The first random wikipedia article you get is the name of your band.

2 - Go to "Random quotations"
or click http://www.quotationspage.com/random.php3
The last four or five words of the very last quote of the page is the title of your first album.

3 - Go to flickr and click on “explore the last seven days”
or click http://www.flickr.com/explore/interesting/7days
Third picture, no matter what it is, will be your album cover.

4 - Use photoshop or similar to put it all together. (if you don't have it, here's an online photo editor: www.picnik.com)

I'll put mine in the first post

I forgot to mention if you read this thread and don't post your album cover you will be visited by fairly naughty imps of a lesser degree and have 20-30 seconds of bad luck. One individual even got a hang nail. People who have complied with the instructions and posted an album cover have received amazing benefits such as a regular bowel movement for 2-3 days.

That's a cool one - I'm thinking alt country rock, like maybe a black eyed crows type of band.

Kinda funny, wiki selected Rimsky-Korsakov (a classical composer) but used in the context of the picture, it looks like more of a rock band or something...

For this to be a cover of a standard music CD, front cover should be 4.75" square:

You must have cheated at least a bit to get your photos to line up so well. Good stuff.I took serious liberties on the third one (it was lower down on the page), and Winter Squash was like the fourth different band name I landed on because I kept getting articles with insanely long titles (even worse than "List of Trolley Systems in the United Kingdom").

This is insanely addictive.

Ohhhh, man. I just got Tahlee Bible College and "Virtue of Fools," but I promised myself I would stop.
