What did Thigpen do wrong?

What did Thigpen do wrong?

Acted like he was hot shit this offseason.

The best thing about this trade is the absolutely, positively, Tyler Thigpen will NOT be the starting quarterback in 2009, and we don't have to listen to any retarded debate about Thigpen competing with a rookie quarterback.

El oh el.

"I feel like I've earned the starting spot."

by hotshit you mean he displayed confidence in his ability to be a starter and thought he should start for the Chiefs next year?

I'm not going to debate this point.

Tyler Thigpen is effectively irrelevant now.

The way it should be.

I think Matt Cassel owes Bernard Pollard lunch, or a watch, or something like that.

I'm no Thigpen honk by any means, but I think he MAY HAVE made a servicable starter if given the entire offseason to prepare for the starting spot. At the very least, the Chiefs are as strong at QB as anyone with Cassel and Thigpen.

You painted yourself into the "hate Thigpen" corner and now you're absolved because the new regime brings in a QB. You're a ****ing genius.

Wow, there's news that the Bucs want to trade for Thigpen.

Could we be that lucky?

I know that no one on this board is calling Thigpen's agent right now.

You're not vindicated. The Chiefs traded for a very good QB today who comes at a significantly lower risk than Thigpen does. It doesn't mean that the Chiefs don't like Thigpen or don't have confidence in him. It clearly means that Pioli just has more confidence in Cassel. That doesn't mean that Thigpen might not develop into a solid QB a few years down the road or might come in and become a valuable backup (and a good starter elsewhere). You'll only be vindicated the day that no team believes he's of any value whatsoever, which I don't think is going to happen anytime soon.

Weak Sauce. Thigpen did better than Hutard and Croyle this year. He was our only choice and did better than expected. So get off his nutsack.

Who cares? Now we have a quarterback who can hit the broadside of a barn. I'm happy.
