Looks like I'm going to ride this year. Anyone else from the Planet? This will be my 2nd. My first was in 2007.

I'm psyched!

I have a group of buddies that ride the Rag each year. I won't say their team name but their bus is a fun one to be around each night.
They tell me what happens on the Rag stays on the Rag.

Oh gosh. I'm not doing it, but a whole bus of our friends does it every year. And our friends take it to the extremes. Wearing leotards, bikinis, whatever. And those are just the dudes.

I reeeeeeeeeally wanna do it, but this year is probably out.

Maybe you should drive the parts wagon/drunk bus this year and learn the ropes.

You'll see a whole new side of the midwest.

I need a bike.
Damn I want to do this.

If you see a big bus with a mouse on it...
Don't tell them you know me. :p

Goes right through the Heart of Lundbergville this year. Hits the town I grew up in, the town my parents now live in, and an overnight in the town my Grandmother lives in.

If enough of you are going, I might make a short trek for a 1 night party.

Be in shape if you're riding.....you're going through hill country.

When you get to Greenfield, look for the "painted rock". Its a cool thing a local kid there does every year.

When you get to Lundbergville, don't hold that against the rest of us. Those silly warhawk folks just don't know any better.

Would you wear tight bicycle shorts?

No, I'm more of a banana hammock guy for Ragbrai.

Been to numerous RAG Parties in the evening. I don't know how those people party till 1-2am each night and then getup and ride in 90 degree heat.

The rag is one week long party - if you want it to be.

A good friend of mine in Mt.Pleasant is hosting people that night it stays in M-P.
Since he's been on one RAGBRAI - he'll know exactly what they'll need.

Many church's and non-profit organizations will earn some serious jack that week by selling pies and large amounts of bottle'd water and Beer. Each town usually sets up a beer garden and has a band or two playing. Its like a rolling state fair party on two wheels.

Damn, how many miles ?

The year I did it I rode about 500. But I rode a bit more than most. Usually about 60 miles a day, with one day being a century (100 mile option).
