I love spring break but it always makes that last 9 weeks go by so slowly

Usually we cruise over spring break, but this year we are going in June as a graduation trip for our daughter.

All we did was go to Mayetta for a couple of days.

Now, the alarm is set for 5:30 ugg and lunch is packed.

back to the grindstone

sigh

We get out at 4 here.... but yeah, back to it tomorrow.

I simply cant wait to work with my autistic kid who always comes back from long periods of time off ready to not listen and fight every direction given to him.

Yipee!

:D

We start at 7:10 so we get out at 2:20 and then we can leave after 2:30 if we are not in PLC or staffing.

Usually I am there 6:30 to 3-3:30

How many teachers do we have here on the planet? We go back tomorrow as well, no real break for me though as I was working on my thesis.

aside from the 2 days at the casino in Mayette, I worked on my new curriculum

We have completely revamped the KS History 9 weeks and I worked on that most of spring break

Our spring break was last week, and it was a 4-day weekend.
They took days off for snow days, rather than add them at the end of the year.

That would be nice. We have not used a snow day this year.

Our district is the largest in Kansas and we rarely call a snow day. I remember days were every district around us was called but we were not. The superintendent got on the TV/Radio and said we were having school, but if you felt it was too dangerous for your child to get out, it would be excused. sheesh...who cares how dangerous it would be for staff...took almost an hour to get to a normally 15 minute drive and I had classes of 5-7 kids all day

Okay, I teach Civics and American History. Hopefully I start teaching at the university level here really soon, I finish my M.A. in Political Science this upcoming month and I will begin teaching those H.S. AP courses. I agree though, the H.S. atmosphere is fun, you can really have some interesting discussions and when your having fun like that, the day goes by quick.

Why does a teacher jump back and forth to Omaha and Michigan?

I think he's confusing you with Bearcat (minus the 2005). He does computer software work and he was in Omaha after spending a few months in Detroit. He's now in Atlanta.

yes, I used to teach HS American History/ Government.

Those were some of my favorite classes. Tho, I always used to wonder how students in other countries were taught American History.

Probably with their persective much like when I teach World History from America's perspective.

One year I had a Russian, a German and an African American exchange student in the same class teaching World War II

interesting to say the least
