The word on Wally

Just swapped text messages with Wally Judge, the Kansas State signee who was selected to play in Wednesday's McDonald's All-American game.

Word is Wally got banged up in practice, casting some doubt on his availability for Wednesday's game. (Props to the good people of KSUFans for coming up with the scoop.)

Anyway, Wally said it's nothing serious, and it sounds like his status for Wednesday could be a game-time decision.

"It depends on how I feel," he said.

I told him I'd check in later in the week, so we'll keep you posted.

Judge, a 6-foot-9 forward from Washington, D.C., was picked to represent the West team, along with one-time KU target Xavier Henry and Oklahoma signee Keith Gallon. Rivals.com rated Judge as the No. 23 player in 2009 class.

For your viewing pleasure: The McDonald's game will be played at Miami's BankUnited Arena, with tip-off set for 7 p.m. Wednesday. ESPN will have the live broadcast.
