Maualuga Visiting Chiefs Tomorrow<!--sizec--><!--/sizec-->
Posted by Mike Florio on April 8, 2009, 10:28 p.m.

In what could be a sign that the Chiefs are preparing for a possible trade down from the No. 3 overall pick, they'll be hosting linebacker Rey Maualuga on Thursday, a league source tells us.

Maualuga is regarded as one of the top prospects at inside linebacker, but it would be a major surprise if he were a top five (or even a top ten) selection.

Maualuga's other visits include trips to see the Browns, Dolphins, Chargers, Titans, Falcons, Saints, 49ers, and Rams.

If we have to trade down and go "D", I'll take take the Maualuga/Brown combo please.

Good Mojo to you Rey-Rey; Daddy knows you chose that #58 for all the right reasons!

D-line first. Although I really wouldn't be upset either way.

Maualuga has something alot of the players in this draft don't have...star potential.

I can't see Raji getting past the 49ers, but this would be an ideal scenario.

Well I have a hard time seeing Maualuga getting by San Diego unless someone else falls.

Curry or Maluaga, I'll be happy with either. Curry seems like a good all around LB while Maluaga will probably be a playmaker that sometimes dissapears in certain situations.

Let's just hope that he's not related to Junior Siavii. Junior Seau would be okay though.

In all seriousness, the D-line can stand there and do the "Krumrie Agitated Homosexual Queen Slap Dance" while Brown and Rey put grass to Quarterback helmet, and allow my boys from 08' to start picking off passes.

Make it so! :thumb:

Waterboy II ? That wouldn't be fair to the rest of the league. ;)

There is this big SOB from Alabama who we can get next year who would be perfect for our 3-4.

I'm sure I'm not the only one that hopes we aren't drafting that high.

Before I became hip to the QB need/debate( thanks for raising my awareness and hopes only to have them dashed you fuckers ), all I wanted out of this draft was Maualuga, and that was out of ability, potential, and the straight-up Mojo of which you speak.

It's something that just "feels right" and has for a long time. I swear to God, if we somehow land Sanchez and Rey, there are people on this board who will never hear the end of it. Every time they reach for their crown and attempt to put the fucker on; I turn that shit to thorns and they bleed.

A never-ending Purgatory, a Penance for which there is no end.

Mmm...

I wouldn't mind the Tyson Jackson/Brown train one bit either.

I know the odds are that we will pick high, really tough schedule next year. I am excited about fixing the D next year though!
