Just curious if anyone knew of any location to get coupons discounts, etc. before I went. I'm trying to do this as cheaply as humanly possible.

I have found certain hotels will give funbooks (some discounts) when you sign up for their players cards. Usually you can score t-shirts, free buffets and others from these books.
Where are you staying? Look up hotel websites and see if they give out free ones. There are some that are free and some that cost $.
If you're gonna be their on sunday morning/afternoon their is an AWESOME margarita brunch/buffet. It's over by the palms/rio casinos, and its totally worth the time.

Can't remember the site but do a search on Vegas coupons, one of them has a page of buy 1 get 1 to Nathan's Hot Dogs,Hagen Daz,a pizza place and an Italian sammich at the Venetian.

If you're staying anywhere close to Caesars right across the street by Margaritaville is O'Sheay's and they have a food court inside which has a Subway,we had more than a few $5 subs.

Also look for Bill's Gambling Hall across from Flamingo, midnight to 6 a.m. you can get a ribeye, eggs, hash browns and toast for $5.49.It's not great but for that price it isn't bad.

Also remember if you sit at the bar at most casinos and put in $10 in video poker and play you can get comped drinks and they're quicker and you don't have to play fast, just take your time.

Harrahs and the flamingo are across from the Mirage. theyre cheap and the monorail is right there. $10 to go up and down the strip all day on the monorail. from MGM to very close to the stratosphere.

The only problem with the monorail is you have to walk for ever just to get to the monorail. Especially at Ballys and MGM you walk a long damn ways to get there.

I love Vegas! My family and I go once a year. There is a lot to do there.

I don't know much about cheap places, but you'll enjoy your time there.

I'm not paying for anything but my expenses, I've got meetings during the day but have the evenings free. When I stayed before it was at the MGM, I didn't really go into the Mandalay Bay is it crap or something?

Is it too pricey? I plan on spending about $400-500 in the week, hopefully most on gambling.

The last time I was there the table limits were more than up the Strip a ways.I'm telling you if you want decent table limits and just a damn good time at a party casino check out O'Sheays.

will definitely try it out, i'm pretty boring on the tables think I might find a holdem game some where or just play some roulette. I think craps would be fun but have no clue how to play

Agreed, all three times I've been to Vegas, I was at O'Sheas more often than not. One night I was there about 8:30 and the next thing I know it was almost 10 in the morning.

Since I'm gonna be there on a convention and my bosses are gonna be there too I don't think that'd apply. I'd hate to be the one staying in vegas.

Just get your bosses wasted and then get them hookers and take pictures and ask for a raise.

Well if the opportunity presents itself I'll give it a whirl, but I'm not going all Chuck Norris trying to make it happen.

I live near Vegas and I like staying at the RIO just because every room is a Suite and very affordable. Tropicana is a Dive but usually cheap, Hooters Casino is usually good priced, not luxurious but prettty decent and next to the strip. Waitresses at the RIO dress in lace and they have a topless beach! Allegiant Air for the Flight. I fly Frontier personally just because they have TV's in every seat and makes for the flights to go faster, new planes also. US Airways is the worst! Southwests Planes are old also. Ted Airlines is probably the second best newer planes.

thats hilarious. i just got back today from vegas, from downtown, from the plaza. it wasnt nearly as bad as i expected. $89 for 2 nights and $50 in free chips not to bad. binions is the only place i ever win on craps.

stayed at mandalay bay in december for the las vegas bowl. didnt win until i took a trip up to downtown to play. For UFC 98, i am splitting the stay at the plaza and bally's. and i have a room at the excaliber for UFC 100 but couldnt get tickets so i may just have to cancel that. :(

Two recomendations. One cheap = beer pong at the the little casino right next to the Eiffle tower. I think it is called "Bill's" or someshit like that.

And one not cheap = Eat at Babby Flay's Mesa Grill. Awesome.

I'd recommend supplimenting the cash you brought with tourist money acquired at the 1/2 No limit hold 'em tables. Play tight, be patient, and you will win.

If your travel and hotel expenses are covered, why cheap out on food/entertainment?

Why overspend on them? I'm just trying to be frugal for one and two I'd rather spend that money on the tables or on entertainment.
