View Full Version : Movies and TV 10 commandments on ABC- man made glitch?

So they are at the point where God issues the 10 to Moses and ABC somehow experiences a technical error and the entire portion of the issuing of the 10 is replaced by an "8 bar" or 6 bar, whatever, "error" but they managed to show the slaves ****ing and drinking and stuff; now I don't really want to bitch about it but isn't that pretty obvious? Just seemed odd to have such an error at a specific point in the movie.

p.s. if I missed some announcement that they were doing this, I am sorry for that. But if anyone knows what the heck just happened, please share, thanks.

You know, I had never seen the movie. I went over to dad's to help him prep his living room for painting tomorrow. We ate dinner, and he turned it on. He made the comment about how much better it would be if they remade it today.

It's a church conspiracy so that people wouldn't find out there really were 15 commandments.

Here's the missing scene.

No way. The original will never be topped. Yule Brenner IS Ramses. The scope, scale, and sets on that movie are epic. No green screen please; the original is just fine.

I don't understand what you are getting at. Care to explain? Do you think it is some kind of Atheist conspiracy or something? And what exactly would that accomplish? It makes no sense.

Isn't it obvious? ABC disapproves of the 10 commandments, and is deliberately trying to diss God on Easter.

Definitely. The Jews have always been jealous of the Christians over Moses. There's just no one as cool and anti-establishment as him in the Jewish tradition.

Don't get me started on why no network or even cable station or cable will show "The Passion of the Christ". They'll show any piece of shit movie. Violence? There's more violence in Braveheart or Saving Private Ryan.

I also love how Disney is showing Halloween movies on Easter.

Passion of the Christ depends on the violence to tell the story. If they edit it out there's like 30 minutes of movie left. You also rarely see those other two and if you do, it's so hacked up that it's not worth the time.

Passion should have been NC-17 IMO. I liked it but no kid should be forced to see it by their parents just because Jesus is in it.

Pioli Zombie
04-12-2009, 05:18 PM
Well any parent who forces his kid to watch the Passion of the Christ is a lunatic. But that is true of Saving Private Ryan and Braveheart so its not a meaningful point.

There is no year "0". It goes right from 1BC to 1AD. The calendar assumes Jesus was born in 1AD (scholars argue over it). With that, 33AD makes sense for his death year.

There's a scene of an old blind man talking to a child during the exodus of the people from Egypt. If you look carefully, you'll see that the old man is wearing a wristwatch. :D

It was on Showtime a year ago every other hour, like all releases as they age, and popularity fades, they go into lighter rotation. No conspiracy here. How mant times can you watch a guy get crucified? But I agree we have to see Volcano and Armageddon again?
