Didn't produce in college. Has some talent.
Probably could've been had as an UDFA.

Is there an advantage to drafting a guy as compared to signing his a UDFA? I guess he is yours immediately, no haggling no other competition. ?

Or him trying to find the best "fit."

2010 7th rounder per NFL.com

I'm wondering why we felt the need to use 2 seventh round picks that have a combined value of a 6th rounder on another TE, when we could have just used our 6th rounder and saved a pick.

And on O'Connell?

Careful, you'll get lumped in with me, Hamas and Mecca if you question Pioli's decisions.

We should have used this pick on Taylor Mays and squatted on his rights.

It was a joke, dude this was a late 7th round pick. People around here are acting like we should have been picking Derrick Thomas or something. ROFL
