Sounds like a pretty bad loss upcoming, then.

Brian Burres is actually a starter. However, I doubt you'd find a worse starter than him in AAA or the majors.

KC Connection...not a slam dunk win for KC by any stretch of the imagination. Davies struggled last time out and this is not the lineup to figure it out against.

Anyone know the estimated start time now? Go Royals! Let's go into May in 1st place!

KC Connection...not a slam dunk win for KC by any stretch of the imagination. Davies struggled last time out and this is not the lineup to figure it out against.

Cito decided to bench two of the team's best players today (Rolen and Overbay). And Brian Burres is on the mound. There's a reason I'm not too confident in the team's chances.

Yeah I've got a feeling Davies might get knocked around today. They are definetely squaring it up on him. Hopefully this will be like the game where he was lost in the first two innings and came back to turn it on. God knows we can't get into an offensive battle with them. For some reason we only do that behind Zack.

Nice hit there Coco.

Of course.

He just ripped the guy a new asshole for seemingly the wrong reason. Not surprising that he's backed off a bit. It takes more stones than most have to call out a manager in public and call him a ****ing barnyard animal.

Give it time. Most of the stat geeks wanted to fire Hillman last season. Rany's fury will return shortly.

The fact is, and I don't mean this to sound bad, but the casual fan doesn't know enough to realize how poorly Hillman manages a club.

I think people wrote billy off at first because he is a fat fat fat fat fat Kid, but his hands are good and he works hard. He's been more than respectable at 1B.

Part of the problem, I believe, is that his attitude has been shit from time to time. Like when he was sent down last season for being complacent.

I know. I enjoyed watching you set that up for 6-8 posts. :)

Aside from the math, bunting in the third inning shows zero confidence you your team. You do HAVE to give it up to Bloomquist for not laying down tho.

Exactly.

And here's another reason why some people can't stand Hillman, and that's the fact that his approach is inconsistent.

You want to play small ball. Fine. But he'll be presented with identical situations and do different things. No outs and runners on 1st and 2nd and he bunts DeJesus, who is batting in the 3 hole, supposedly your best hitter.

Here we are, same thing, but with Guillen at the plate. Swing away. One could argue that Guillen is not nearly the skilled hitter that DeJesus is.

Last year, bunt Butler (fucking Butler, are you kidding) on Tuesday. Swing away on Wednesday.

All this suggests that Trey really doesn't know what the fuck is going on.

part of that is because he is around the club so much he knows the players and tries to guage what they are feeling that day. I guess you dont have to wait for a full "catch", they can bobble, bobble, and bobble some more for 10 seconds, but the runner doesn't have to wait. As soon as the fielder touches the ball, you can tag up and go.
