Bases loaded. TPJ.

Actually too the 1st pitch.

1-0

Unable to control himself after taking one whole pitch, TPJ swings and misses

1-1

Swing and miss

1-2

lays off.

2-2

His hand got f'ed up on the play from RF in the last ining. I saw him grab after it after that play.

KcMizzou
05-02-2009, 09:23 PM
WTH was that? One handed swing?

petegz28

It is more than obvious when the game is on the line and you have a base open with an automatic out on deck and you just so happen to hit Olivo twice to get to the automatic out?

They were intentional. imo

WilliamTheIrish
05-02-2009, 09:27 PM
He hurt his hand when he took the throw from RF in the previous inning. I can't remember who was sliding in but he caught TPJ's hand real good and I saw him pull away to protect it.

Look at it this way....my strategy of reverse joo-joo got MU to the Elite 8 and the Royals off to an April with an above .500 record.

What more can I do?

Someday you will appreciate the concept of reverse negativity. One cannot claim to be a Chiefs and Royals fan and not grasp this phenom of strategies.

I'll tell you what I can grasp:

That's the thought of going Meche, Greinke the next two days, assuming Gil's back is ok.

Jermaine Dye took a ball off his R hand tonight by Rangers pitcher Luis Mendoza. Dye looked like he was hurt in a big way.

I'll bet it was intentional to get to Paul konerko.

Meche is due for another dominating start. I like our chances tomorrow.

If he isn't hurt. I threw the jinx on him last week when I went to the park and watched him cough up the loss to the Jays. Monday I am due to see Greinke. I am almost thinking of selling my tickets since I am 0-4 in game appearacnes this year. Though if anyone can break my slump it would be Greinke.

Royals get in the playoffs means that GoChiefs is running trains somewhere.

See that would be right if instead of Konerko you had TPJ. You'll learn.

Don't know but I hope Jacobs is involved in whatever trades we make. And Alice Gordon better get used to the idea of playing 1st base.

I was bummed Meche was hurt. I had seen Ponson twice and Ramirez up to that point. And to see Meche out his worst game of the season was a real bummer. That being said the footlong hot dogs are pretty fucking tasty!

Probably Ramirez...but he pitched last night. But he is the only one I could think of. Or maybe Weychter (spelling)

Actually had a Chicago dog the other day. Typically I'm just a mustard and onion guy, but adding the pickle and what not...look the fuck out. High-quality dog.

Yep. Understandable.

My wife, as a rule, dislikes hotdogs--she's a communist, what can I say--but the next day she was saying, "We really need to have these again. Delicious."

is there any reason whatsoever, after tonight, that trey hillman can justify keeping tony pena jr. on the major league roster?

Not when Bryan Peyna could be on the roser and I believe is 2-3 as a pinch hitter.

Not trying to defend Pena, who is pretty useless, but we don't really have any other MI options. To the best of my knowledge, the prospects are pretty slim down on the farm, too.

aviles is the shortstop.

bloomquist or callaspo can play in a pinch if they need a backup.

that one-handed swing has to be the last straw. how can anyone possibly defend that piece of shit being in the major leagues?

I managed to watch the entire game while I was at work... one of the benefits of working at a TV station, televisions are everywhere.

I got to watch Soria close out the game and get his first win while working cameras for the 10 o'clock news.

It is great to be in first place and actually have ESPN mention us as having a chance at the playoffs during Baseball Tonight.

The team needs to find another option.

Aviles, who needs to be replaced himself, and AC are the starters. WB has played more outfield than infield.

Simple fact is that a team needs another backup IF. Right now that's Pena, and I'm eager for a better option.

The one-handed stuff...he hurt himself making a tag a bit earlier in the game. Should have been pulled.

At least one more

It appears that struggling right-hander Sidney Ponson will get at least one more chance to turn things around. Hillman hesitated to offer that commitment Friday after Ponson allowed seven runs and nine hits in 4 1/3 innings.

“We looked at the video,” Hillman said. “We see stuff. Hopefully, sooner than later, it will play out. I plan on him making his next start if that’s the question.”

That will be Wednesday night against Seattle at Kauffman Stadium. Ponson is 0-4 with a 7.16 ERA in five starts.

Meanwhile …

Right-hander Luke Hochevar improved to 5-0 and lowered his earned-run average to 1.13 by pitching a seven-inning shutout Saturday night for Class AAA Omaha in an 8-0 victory at Nashville in the first game of a doubleheader.

Hochevar threw just 79 pitches and allowed only two hits, both singles. He struck out five and walked three.

It looks like we might stand a chance though, Silva is off to a pretty bad start and actually has a higher ERA than Ponson.

Nice... Luke "dirtiest ball cap in the majors" Hochevar.

I'm dying to see this one handed swing by TJ. I had just left the house and the perturbed announcer on 610 described it as incredibly 'bizarre'.... I laughed hysterically.

He's just to type of guy that needs to be bludgeoned over the head again, and again, and again, and again before he realizes what most people do via common sense.

If they see "stuff", I'm the freakin' Pope. I think this is just Barnyard Trey being Barnyard Trey.

No excuse to give Fatsky another start when you've secured Hochvar's rights for another year (eliminates excuse #1) and he's averaging over 7 innings per start in Omaha with a 1.13 ERA (eliminates excuse #2).

Somethings I think Friar F#ck doesn't like winning all that much.......
