I think I remember seeing this quote, who said it?

“Any player that talks about not being with the Chiefs,” one fan wrote on a message board at ChiefsPlanet.com, “abandons the Chiefs, leaves the Chiefs for own selfish reasons, doesn’t want to play for the Chiefs anymore, or would rather play for a team that isn’t named Chiefs will be known as a traitor.”

Of all the well-reasoned opinions posted here in voluminous quantities, he has to pick the spanish inquisition post to put in the paper.

It certainly doesn't represent the prevailing opinion here.

I'm sure Gonzalez took one look at the Chiefs draft and said:

really? it seems to me pulling a quote from chiefsplanet about football, is akin to quoting bluto blutarsky about college.

he should have pulled more (extremely vocal) minority reports, about what an idiot Scott Pioli is, how this draft gets an F--, the Cassel trade is going to set the franchise back 5 years... etc etc

Well, what I do know is from a very good source of mine, what Kansas City writer searches for himself on Google... from WORK?

Gonzo is another. I would have like him to finish as a Chief. Pioli has other needs, blame Carl's sh1tty drafting for our situation.

I'm sure Gonzalez took one look at the Chiefs draft and said:

YES!

The same player that backed Tyler Thigpen, and Herm Edwards and then called every Chiefs team in training camp the best one he was ever on talent wise?

How sweet it will be if Tyson Jackson and Matt Cassel turn into studs.

That's not necessarily the case. Just because we're not in the profession doesn't mean there can't be well reasoned cases put forward here. The problem with the article is that it takes one opinion and makes it the majority opinion.

This does seem to paint Chiefsplanet as having had one united, homogeneous response to TG leaving. The truth is that with all the differences of opinion on this site, it would be difficult NOT to find a post you could use to support your case in an article.

Did anyone read sundays paper? The sports page wrote an article about Gonzalez switching teams and how some fans wouldn't like him anymore and they quoted someones post from Chiefsplanet. " Any player that talks about not being with the Chiefs abandons the Chiefs, leaves the Chiefs for own selfish reasons, doesn't want to play for the Chiefs anymore, or would rather play for a team that isn't named the Chiefs will be known as a traitor."

Good Job true fan the KC Star quoted you.

Too bad that post is a very retarded way to look at it. NFL is a business. Hardly anyone these days stays with the same team because of FA, cap issues and so on.

I happen to agree with the article. If a player basically refuses to play for the Chiefs, there is just no way I could root FOR that player anymore. Call me bitter.

If its draft dodging like Elway or Eli, then yes........but if its something about FA or anything contract related, you'd think differently if you were the player.
