Did not. Oddly, Eddie Money was my initial thought but wanted more info before making the guess. Eddie Rabbit would have been my second guess if it wasn't Money.

A lot to be proud of; he was a very quick-witted comedian. I'm not sure that is apparent in his movies which tended to be a bit campy (comedy has changed alot since they were made). I have fond memories of them from when I was a child of 5 or 6 but they may or may not translate well to someone of your generation.

I can't think of a particular song he'd be known for. He's more of a body-of-work guy than a hit single guy. He was in Be Kind Rewind and 16 Blocks among other films.
