View Full Version : Royals Calling it now... Greinke to be 10-0

The combined team records of his next 4 scheduled starts...

44-60

The only team to be faced with a winning record as of now... Detroit.

Greinke's line from when he pitched Det...

1 Walk, 10 K's, 3 hit's, 0.00 ERA...

Tigers Manager Jim Leyland after that game...

"We just got dominated by probably the hottest pitcher in the American League, when Greinke pitches, the Royals are as good as any team in baseball."

I'm callin it now... 10-0.

**Takes notes from football fans in San Diego and Officially hops on the hottest bandwagon around**

(I know, I know... STFU n00b... I can't help it... It's been along time since I was interested in baseball.)

Do you think it's possible for him to get in over 260 innings?

It's possible... If the Royal's are close to contention late in the year, do you see them trotting him out every 3 day's ala last year's Brewer's and CC?

Not worth it.

Didn't the Twins try that with Liriano a couple years ago..

look at the game log on Mark Prior in 2003 here..

Look at some of the pitch counts Dusty Baker had him build up.

That's ridiculous. It's friggin' criminal!

Kerry Wood is similar that year, too. Baker is a piece of shit manager if you ask me.

http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/players/gamelog?playerId=3821&year=2003

He allowed Kerry Wood to throw 141 pitches in 7 innings one start.

KERRY WOOD

HISTORY OF ARM INJURIES

141 pitches.

Real good idea.

GD JINX!!!!!

Grienke can't be truly jinxed, he's too good. For him, "jinxed" means giving up one run in a game in which he pitches only 7 innings, but still gets the win.

The thing I love about Greinke is that he signed a contract extension this offseason. So not only is he the best pitcher in baseball, and the most exciting player we've had since at least Beltran, but he's ours. And, he isn't trying to leave.

If that doesn't make KC excited, I don't know what will. I'd love nothing more than for this team to hit July being competitive in the Central. We haven't seen GMDM have fun at the trade deadline yet, and I imagine he'd enjoy it.

Mitch Williams just said on MLBN that "Greinke is going 35-0 this season"

If you look at his projected stats, he'd end up 36-0 with 324 Ks and 36 BB.

It's fun to dream.

This prediction would have been impressive April 6th. Stating the hottest pitcher in baseball will win his next four against mediocre teams is like predicting you're going to eat chicken while you're in line at KFC.
