The Onion on TV would blow away dead Snl.

Snl hasn't been funny for a long time.

I think JT is teh ghey, BUT he is frickin hilarious on SNL. I agree that SNL 95% of the time is unfunny, save weekend update. But this entire episode was pretty good. The highlight was the the plastic surgery skit. I loved motherlover and thought it was better than DIAB. IMHO.

For what it's worth, The Lonely Island is the group that makes these and basically sells them to SNL. The actual SNL team has very little to do with it other than the fact that Samburg is an SNL member.

They're actually called The Lonely Island. I think you're referrng to 90 percent of the people who post here.

The other two guys are writers for SNL

SNL is not consistently hilarious by any stretch, but I think they come up with way more funny shit than people give them credit for. I have a feeling people who trash SNL haven't watched with any frequency since Will Ferrell left, and when they do watch an episode, they focus on all the crappy parts so they can reinforce their circa-2002 opinions and go on message boards to post about it.

Really? Didn't realize that. I know that the three have been making videos and songs like that for years prior to SNL, though.

I was glad to see them do another Barry Gibbs' Show too. JT is hilarious as Randy Gibb.

Also, the skit before "Motherlover", with the Irish immigrants on the boat approaching Ellis Island; hilarious. :D

Funny thing about all these videos is that there actually somewhat in a way - good songs, maybe not good but they're catchy in a way.

yeah, how'd they get two still pretty decent actresses to do this? My husband saved it for me, got home from church and he about pissed his pants in anticipation of my seeing it. Luckily I laughed just as hard, if not more as he expected me to.

Sometimes I have such pressure on me, because I love to laugh and my husband loves that about me, so when he thinks something is funny and waits to show it to me or tell it to me, I feel like, "OH shit, i can't disappoint him...." and so sometimes I try to fake it, but he can always tell....but most of the time I genuinely think it's funny. So that's good. The end.
