Obviously, Nickelback has been guilty of this, per their mashup posted in various places on the web.

For some bizarre reason, I was recalling music of my childhood the song I thought I remembered was Rio by Duran Duran. However, the lyrics never quite fit. After some searching, I discovered it was New Moon on Monday, which is also a Duran Duran song. Interestingly enough, the choruses are VERY similar. Check them out:

About 60 percent of Twisted Sister's songs sound the same.

Maybe that's an exaggeration. Only 30 percent.

Both are great songs, but "Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground" and "There's No Room For You Here" by the White Stripes use nearly identical guitar riffs.

Wow - I don't think those are similar at all, especially Sunday Morning Coming Down and I Walk The Line. I would agree that some of the early stuff had similar rhythms because of the style of the Tennessee Two, but he branched out over time, especially if you count the American Recordings.

Like you, just my opinion but I don't see it.

I mean, you could make the argument that since all of Tom Petty's songs are folk-inspired rock songs, they all sound the same.

But by that standard, you could make the same argument against any band or artist that has played a similar style of music throughout their career, which is almost all of them. That's like saying all of Jay-Z's songs sound alike because he raps in every one.
