It's official now after speculation. Guy is 70 years old.
Do the Colts get nudged down a bit now?

It's due to pension benefits and not the "game" itself, which totally sucks.
Manning's the OC anyway. They'll be fine.

I bet they hire Trent Green to replace him.

can't believe Pioli didn't bring him in.

Manning has been his own OC for a while now.

If you're right, I think we'll know by the end of this year.
Manning chooses between 3 plays(a pass, 2 runs) sent by the OC

Good point. The story is that Peyton is given 3 plays to choose from at the line in each huddle, and decides based on the defense. We'll see this year if its really his reads or the plays called in that have been so successful.

The Colts are beginning their downfall starting this year. By the year 2013, Indy will be the floormat of the NFL once again. Its the truth.

Are'nt we due for a decade of playoff runs?

If I were a Colts fan, I wouldn't complain
Are'nt we due for a decade of playoff runs?Playoff runs, yeah we had a nice streak of runs at the playoffs in the 90s. I think that's all we get, though. If you're looking for championships, that's not for another 30 years

Yes, but don't think Peyton and Moore agreed upon an arsenal of plays the week before to counter any defense the opposition may run. The Colts will be fine, at least I think. Curtis Painter is a good developmental project at QB, and learning behind Manning will likely set him up for success in the future. However, if the Colts do fall off a little, say into the top 15 of the draft in the next 2-5 years, they'd do very well to draft the best QB on the board (the Packers certainly don't seem to be regretting drafting Aaron Rodgers)

This all seems way too premature. Peyton has shone himself to be very tough and resilient and is not all that old. He's got many good years ahead of him.
