So just for the hell of it, I am interested in what other scotch drinkers are favoring.

Right now, my scotch cabinet has (ranked in order from most favorite to least):

1. Glenlivet 15 Year French Oak
2. The Macallan Cask Strength
3. The Macallan 12 Year
4. Balvenie 10 Year Founders Reserve
5. Glenlivet 12 Year
6. Glenfiddich 18 Year

There are also bottles of Crown Royal, Gentleman's Jack & Jack Single Barrel, but these aren't scotch.

Scotch is a luxury I can't afford right now, but I sure enjoyed every last drop of The Macallan 18 year that I got as a Christmas gift.

But if I had my druthers it would probably be Lagavulin. Laphroig as well.

Oh yes, that is one of my absolute favorites... I just cannot bring myself around to spending $150 on one bottle.

So true. I have Maker's Mark, Cuervo Gold, Brandy, paper plates, napkins, PAM, Extra Virgin Olive Oil. It's quite diverse, really.

Mines below the microwave. There's been times I've only been capable of crawling and regretted placing it so high the next morning.

BTW I'm a Captain Morgan or a Patron (a little disparity in price, so I tend to stick to the Captain...) kind of guy.... I FUCKING HATE Bacardi and Cola. Who the fuck likes regular rum and coke, it needs to be spiced rum.. And has anyone tried the Captain Morgan Silver spiced rum? It's actually a lot better than the regular. If it's on sale, I wholly recommend it.

Have you ever tried Captain with ginger ale instead of coke? I highly recommend you do if you haven't. There's no syrup taste and it's much lighter.

I spend most of my whiskey money on Bourbon,Rye and Irish, but I keep a few bottles of blended scotch around to sip or mix. Johnnie Walker Black, Teacher's, White Horse, Grant's. I'll replace these on sale anytime I see a good price. The Teachers and Grants I turn into Rusty Nails with a slug of Drambuie, or into Rob Roy's with sweet vermouth and bitters. I like JWB and White Horse neat.
I've still got some Glenlivet and Glenfiddich as well, gifts that I keep around for my 'I only drink single malt' friends who're not smart enough to drink my really good bourbon and rye with me. I 'met' Julian Van Winkle online years ago talking whusk and got hooked on his Van Winkle Bourbons and his 13 year old Family Reserve Rye. Damn Good Whusk.

My scotch cabinet is a little low having just finished off the Glenmorangie and the Clynelish. Remaining on tap is:

Dalwhinnie 15
Deanston 17
Tamdu 10
Auchentoshan 10

Obviously time to go visit my local scotch seller.

(That's, of course, not addressing the wine, sake, brandy and the growlers from the local micro-pub.)

Laphroaig 10 year
Abelour 12 year
Macallan 10 year

The Laphroaig and Macallan are dangerously close to empty, but I'm not a regular scotch drinker. Just every once in a while when I'm in the mood. It usually involves turning down the lights and cranking up some Coltrane.

I've bought maybe one bottle of good Scotch in the last year, so my supplies are rather low --

Highland Park 12 yr
Laphroaig 10 yr
Craigellachie 15 yr

and....

wait for it.....

Clan MacGregor. CMcG and Grants, are the blends I normally drink.

12 year The Macallan isn't much more than that. I take it the Bushmills is quite tasty.
