Chris, Butch and Tom did a great job on that album.

I'm not really into it, but I thought others might give it a try. Good price.

I've had the leak for a while now, but haven't listened to it. Just not a huge Green Day fan. That's a good price, though.

Be a real punk and just steal it instead.

I really liked Green Day when they first got big in about 1994. Haven't listened (or cared) much in the last few years. But for a GD fan, that is a great price.

How explicit is this album? My son wants it but the parental advisory gives me second thoughts.

that's about 4.80 more than any Green Day effort since Dookie is worth.

That's why "American Idiot" sold 13 million copies.

He will shoot somebody the moment he hears it.

It's good if you're a Green Day fan. I've got friends that absolutely love this record.

I respect them (and like the guys, especially Billie Joe quite a bit) but I was never a "fan".

But I don't think it'll disappoint Green Day fans. It's another concept album as well (like American Idiot).

Look for the non-explicit version. I'm sure it's $4.99 as well.

Look for the non-explicit version. I'm sure it's $4.99 as well. They didn't have a non-explicit version. I went ahead and got it though. There were only 3-4 explicit songs anyway. I can just listen to them and see how bad the really are.

I'm surprised that a child so young would be interested in Green Day (explicit or not).

Well he's already heard suggestive stuff, then. I mean, if you let him listen to "Longview," then I imagine anything on the new album is going to be OK.

Last I checked Dookie didn't have a parental advisory stamp on it to make me double check it first.

I'd download it if I got paid $5 to do so.

Not so much the other way around.

"Longview" is literally about masturbating all day long. And it isn't subtle. Sample lyrics: "When masturbation's lost its fun, you're fucking lazy." "Bite my lip and close my eyes, take me away to paradise." Etc.

Chiefs fans hate Dane's highly successful rock bands and Dane hates highly successful Chiefs GMs and head coaches.

Deal with it.

Well...other than that line, chances are if you're son is under 13 it wouldn't make any sense to him anyways...

Longview isn't that bad of a song.

I like old Green Day and new Green Day...but they lost a lot of fans when they said "fuck you" to their fans with Good Riddance and strayed away from punk music.

Also, International Superhits is one of the best greatest hits albums out there...I love that CD.

I'd argue for the opposite approach, Guru. I'll bet your son can "handle" Dookie and I'll be that he could handle the new Green Day album, too. You seem like a good enough parent that a few curse words (which may be censored out on the version of Dookie he has) and suggestive lyrics aren't going to ruin the way you've raised him.

Besides, if he has any friends then he's already been exposed to worse.

Haven't bought it yet only because it's an easy gift for someone to get me in a couple weeks.

I love Green Day and every time I go to Oakland/Berkeley I eat at Rudy's Can't Fail Cafe at least a couple of times. :)
