Pandora. I am usually the last person on earth to hear about something cool. I love this internet radio thingy. It is amazing how it knows what music I am gonna like even if it is some band I have never heard. Just wondering who else has a pandora acct.?

I used it when it first came out some years back, but it wasn't quite as developed as it is now, so I got bored with it. My wife uses it all the time, though.

How long ago did it come out?

I use it in class during labs. Have about 20 different stations set up depending on who I have in class that week.

I think 2000 is when they first started it.

I get it for free on my phone through Sprint. Plug my phone into my car stereo and voila. I'm money.

While we are on the subject of Pandora....

It was in 1999. I was at Bonita Flats south of Olathe...and I met a peeler named Pandora.

As long as we are talking internet radio, here's a link to the streaming feeds from the best radio station I've ever heard:

http://www.krcl.org/listenlive.htm

Indy stuff mostly, but their weeknight stuff ranges all over the place. (The Wednesday night metal show is really amazing as well as the rest.)

Yep, beats the heck outta musicmatch.

The only thing I don't like is after an hour or so I gotta click "I'm still listening".
It didn't used to be that way.

Pandora and Slacker both work great on my Blackberry. Highly recommend it!

I tried Pandora once a couple of years ago, but it sucked for my tastes. It may be better now, but really don't need it when I can just put 200 GB of music on shuffle mode.

That's how I feel about it. With as much music as I have and as much as I get on a regular basis, I really don't have the time or desire to listen to something I may or may not like.

I have used pandora for about 4 years now.
I like it a lot,

However if you like pandora check out LAST FM
http://www.last.fm
I think it has a larger library, doesn't seem to repeat songs as much.
