The "series thread" might be useful for general smack-talking, coming back to in the morning, thinking ahead to the next game, etc but I think each game also needs its own thread. We haven't really done series threads this year, the Royals have been a little too popular on this board for that.

Pretty much...

I have a chick friend who lives in stlouis and loves em...she talks so much crap, id love for us to win 2 games

I attended last years game at the royals and we were surrounded by red, so annoying. Had a ton of fun though cause they were nice, and we won ;)

Royals have the upperhand in Friday nights game. The cards will throw that useless POS RH Todd Wellemeyer agains the Royals.

Wellemeyer is a "walk machine". If he gets lit up tonight and walks another 6 - he needs to be sent down immediately.

The way the Royals are doing on offense and the way the Pen is playing..we never have the upperhand.

yes, it is quite sad. :( I can't believe we just lost the Meche and Grienke games. As bad as the offense has been, we have had leads late into games. When we were winning, we had a mediocre offense, but we did not lose leads late in games.

the bullpen needs to show up to a couple of games sometime soon. i can't believe i am going to type this next sentence. the only two consitent bullpen players lately have been farnsworth and tejeda. :grr:

i need to wash my hands after typing that...

Geez, chill. Jacobs is not sitting on the bench this whole series, starting him (our best home run hitter) is not a stupid move especially given that this is an NL game. Would you rather Butler start then get subbed out in later important situations when Jacobs pinch-hits, or the other way around?

I am also not convinced that we lost any runs. That play to 2nd was not a sure thing, and I'm fine with getting the sure 2nd out.

Obviously you dont sub in Jacobs for Butler. You sub him in for DDJ, Aviles, pitcher, whatever. Then next inning, he would likely be left in if we are behind and need power. Our best HR hitter is not going to be a 1-AB per game pinch-hit guy this entire series.

Royals better wake the **** up and start hitting some liners. If they get hit right at someone then I can live with that. But this bullshit of groundballs and popups barely out of the IF is about old already.
