wow, so we start the game the same way we finished it lst night...foul out.

Going back tot he last 2 batters last night that was 3 straight foul outs. DDJ with the single up the middle.

Well, couple hard hit balls but right at people. Still better than the weak grounders we were getting last night

petegz28
05-23-2009, 12:23 PM
Avilles back out on the field again? I am going to start saying that every game Avilles plays is a game that proves Hillman is a joke.

I hate watching these games on GameCast, because it looks like the balls are right down the middle of the freaking plate. What the heck?

I would say that we have to find a better alternative at SS, no doubt.

petegz28

Wow, we just let Pujos steal......That is the second game in a row where runners just take off on Hochevar and he pays them no attention..

and now back-back 4-pitch walks

petegz28
05-23-2009, 12:25 PM
9 straight balls.....

I'd rather have Luke focus on the batter in the box and throw strikes than pay too much attention to the runner. Unfortunately, he can't do either right now. Hope he can find the zone soon.

05-23-2009, 12:31 PM
You gotta throw damn strikes.

Oh fuck.....come on Avilles.....try actually getting a fucking hit

petegz28

Feel free to switch him and Ponson around (and how sad of a statement is THAT?).

Ponson never had this many bad outings. He had the one and then a couple of ify types. Hochevar has sucked every game.

petegz28
05-23-2009, 01:01 PM
And now he wants to worry about Pujols stealing when he should have done that in the 1st inning.

petegz28
05-23-2009, 01:02 PM
Well, a lucky break there on defense.

petegz28
05-23-2009, 01:06 PM
Another swing for strike 3 at a pitch that was never in the zone

petegz28

I hate St. Louis. Be nice to see us get a few runs sometime during this series, too.

Man, this team is frustrating to watch.

petegz28
05-23-2009, 01:08 PM
And another swing for strike 3 at a pitch that was never in the zone. In fact it was in the dirt.

petegz28
05-23-2009, 01:09 PM
Teahen just swings...he has no discilpline...he is a total guess hitter. That last swing at a pitch that started off low and ended up in the dirt confirms such.

Seitzer owns your soul.

Yeah I don't know that I can hang this on Seitzer. These guys just look like total shit at the plate.

And yet no decent SS hurts us again and a slow roller makes its way up the middle

petegz28
05-23-2009, 01:11 PM
More times than not when Teahen actually does get the bat on the ball it is a weak hit.

Well, Hochevar can't make it past 5 it seems

petegz28
05-23-2009, 01:20 PM

BWillie
05-23-2009, 01:20 PM

petegz28
05-23-2009, 01:21 PM
and our 6th fly ball to CF

petegz28
05-23-2009, 01:22 PM
Olivo with back-back doubles will be the only offensive highlight of the game

petegz28
05-23-2009, 01:22 PM
And with a man on 2nd 1 out, Avilles starts off swingin at ball 1

petegz28
05-23-2009, 01:23 PM
Avilles absolutely has to do something here as he takes strike 2

petegz28
05-23-2009, 01:23 PM
And Avilles strikes out swinigng at ball 3

petegz28
05-23-2009, 01:24 PM
And down by 3 in the 5th, runner on 2nd 2 outs and we still send Hochevar to the plate....

I won't get mad about a 3 run performance from him. Though the wya they got 2 of those runs I hand squarley on his shoulders.

That being said.....we just can't hit the fucking ball.

1. DDJ
2. Crisp
3. Butler
4. Guillen
5. Jacobs
6. Bloomy
7. AC
8. Olivo
9. Teahen

Posted via Mobile DeviceOh I don't know about that statement. The Royals need to ask more from all their pitching staff. Especially Zack. Even with a .080 ERA he needs to do more. That bum has been stinking the joint up. All we've done is lose when he's on the hill of late. All I ask is he just keep us in the game. His last start when he gave up those two runs the game was over!

I guess at some point you have to score A, ah, one run to win the game. Somebody should tell the Royals offense that....or at least let the pitchers bat to help themselves :shake:.

Let us not be counted among the hysterical masses who run to the Royals when they win and walk away like Simon Peter when it gets tough.

We're struggling right now. Obviously the hitting isn't working, the bully isn't getting it done, and the starters aren't all going into the 7th and 8th like they used to.

I for one am not going to run away like everyone else. They're still a better team than what we're seeing right now...and Detroit's not as good as they're playing right now. This is a marathon, not a sprint. Now, let's salvage tomorrow's game and gear up for our first opportunity to make up some ground.

We have such limited run producers on this team. Seriously, I cringe if we give up more than 2 runs.

Went to the Royals website. Check out what's on the front page: vote for these Royals as All Stars! Yeah, right. Truth in advertising printed below. Royals will have one All Star this year and it will be Greinke. He's the only one who deserves it.

If they get swept, heads better frickin roll. Aviles to Omaha, Guillen to DL, DeJesus to bench, Hocheaver to bullpen, Ramirez designated for assignment, Seitzer: unemployment line.
