My wife and I are wanting to take our kids (twins, 5 & a 3 yr old) on a KC vacation this year. Take in a Royals game (of course!) and also do the Ocean of Fun/ Worlds of Fun thing....question --- anything else to do for this age group in the area. Also, where would be a good place for us to stay for the time we spend....kids can't swim well, so zero entrance pool would be great. We've done Great Wolf Lodge, and thought it was way too chaotic for our aged kids, and they couldn't utilize that much anyway....thanks....

Sorry if repost....

make sure you visit Novella's Soup Trolley for a terrific lunch before you hit the Truman home and library in beautiful Independence.

Kaleidascope near crown center in KC is a great kid place, also a tour of the chocolate factory, if hiking and a picnic is your thing (short one anyway), try weston, mo state park, there also a petting zoo up there, legends in Kansas is good because there's stuff for kids but adults too... Go to a t bones game or wizards game. That's really fun... I have other ideas but it's hard to type n this phone

Science City at Union Station would be great for that age.

I went a couple of weeks ago. It's not great, but it's a lot better than it used to be.

This. We're "Friends of the Zoo", so we go a few times a year. It's nothing great, but a cheap way to entertain the kids for an afternoon.

My kids used to complain they were bored all the time. So I took them to downtown Topeka for a weekend. Now they never says they are bored.
