E.1999 Eternal and Art of War are CLASSICS. Ressurrection was pretty damn good too.

Random crossover disclaimer (Nerd Alert as well).

Great comic series, with a good sweeping epic type story.

Bone was great on their first two albums, mediocre on Art of War and then downhill from there. My boy (whose opinion I respect) told me Resurrection was good but I haven't given it a listen as I've been thoroughly dissappointed with their work since Art of War.

Not really. I was just youtubing some old musicand found a great song I hadn't heard in a minute. I think it's impossible to pick a greatest artist of any genre. I do think Krayzie is one of the greatest though, but to each his own. I actually like his verse in this song just as much. Bizzy really kills this song too.

okay.....i dont know what you mean by growing out, I mean if the song is good enough I will listen to it forever, I dont care how old it is. And everyone knows 90's and early 00's rap is the best, that's pretty much all I listen to. Old Three 6 Mafia, Tech N9ne, Bone Thugs, Twista, Brotha Lynch, all that stuff is classic that I don't get sick of. Of course I listen to all the new releases especially from my favorite artists, but the old stuff is the best.

And whats your better brand of hip hop btw?

Sorry for sounding like an old white dude (tho I grew up on a steady diet of old school rap) that dude sounds like he rappin with his head out da window while tha car drivin' 120 MPH. Just a buncha flappin' lips, can't understand a word.

I hear that. I think that what Bone Thugs do definitely takes talent, but it's not a style that I appreciate. I much rather listen to rappers who can enunciate their syllables.

It's out there. You just have to look for it as opposed to it falling in most people's lap like it used to.

yep, most people in this country just turn on the radio and they think thats all there is. They think thats the best thats out there, and thats far from the truth. Its the industry telling us what to hear. but most people don't know there is other stuff out there, and they are MISSING OUT big time.

When I was a teenager you could find hip-hop shows on the weekend. Maybe a college station or some other small station that would let some kids have a show on Saturday or Sunday night. I used to tape tons of music off of those shows. Pharcyde, Quest, Lords of the Underground, Tim Dog, Funkdoobiest. Now, it's like a job to find it sometimes.

ONe thing that's funny, go back and listen to rap form the mid or early 80's and it sounds like a 45 record on 33rpm.

I played Whodini "Friends" the other day, and it was the rap equivalent of playing Football on Atari 2600.

friends..........how many of us have them
Friends.........ones we can depend on ......

check it
