Why do I always have to watch an effing YouTube video every time someone wants me to know Rep. Paul's opinion?

Sleeeepy

More exciting than reading peoples' opinions on this board, it has video and everything! :)

I'm OK with every blog posting whether it supports my viewpoint or not. I'm not a fan of threads where you have to watch a video to know what they're about. If you have to start a thread with a video, add a little text synopsis and I'm happy.

Having video as opposed to text leaves people out of being able to spin the message.

I'm not against video, I just like to have a preview so I can either watch it if I'm interested or skip it.

With text you can see it instantly, skim if you want, search, and read it from anywhere.

Video takes a long time to load, not all people's internet situations permit it, you can't skim, you can't search.

There's a reason why people get news from the internet and not TV as much anymore. you can access information instantly. You don't have to sit through a 30 minute news broadcast that is presented to you in a "sit down and listen" format. So why would people want to sit through Youtube clips instead of being given the information instantly in black and white?
