Dude AvP rocked.

It is impossible to screw up a movie that has Xenomorphs in it.

If you add a Predator it's Grade A Numbah One US Choice entertainment.

As for your 13-year old, this won't be the last time.

1. Patrick Stewart was horribly miscast.

2. The soundtrack sucked dick.

3. It butchered a literary masterpiece.

4. DAVID LYNCH MUST BE BROUGHT TO JUSTICE :#

See, im just the oppostite. I actually think BE is just as bad as people make it out to be.

Gigli, while a bad movie, isnt as bad as its made out to be. At least Martin Brest has talent.

To each his own, man... I thought BE was bad, but not monumentally bad. Gigli was a steaming pile of shit, IMO.

And I have a theory: Brest knew he had a shit sandwich on his hands and called Pacino for a cameo. Said, "Al, you owe me... I got you your only Oscar" (Brest directed Scent of a Woman).

I think that's the only explanation for Pacino's presence in that piece of crap.

The Elephant Man
Blue Velvet
Wild at Heart
The Straight Story, and most of all
Mullholland Drive

are all excellent, though some are a little harder to get into than others.

First season of Twins Peaks was perhaps some of the best television ever, certainly for it's time. Up there with Hill Street Blues, ER, Sopranos and The Wire for the ground it broke.

Lost Highway is perhaps the most out there, and incomprehensible at times, but it also has some amazing scenes.

If you ever find yourself inclined to dip your toe, Straight Story and Elephant Man are the most conventional [Straight Story is as conventional a movie as there is], then move on to Twin Peaks to see the mix of surreal and awesome. Blue Velvet and Mullholland is the next step up, but also the next step better.

I will copy and paste what i put in the Movie thread about this POS.

Ha! The land of the lost stunk on his debut weekend. This article attached shows they invested about 200 million in that worthless piece of junk. And it only made 19.5 out of the gates. Not good, not good at all.

It gives me faith in humanity again that a no star, no special effects comedy far outperformed a CGI crapfest this weekend.
