Chiefs and Royals, though I tend to lose my fervor for the Royals once it's apparent that they're hopeless.

First off, they are not in KC. Plus I'm referring to professional teams.

Are the T-Bones considered professional baseball??

They get paid. Ergo, professional.

(Cue joke about rampant corruption in collegiate athletics...)

I was curious to see how many people follow the Wizards.

I'll admit that I was not much of a Soccer/Wizards fan. But after attending my first ever Wizards game this year, I got into Soccer/Wizards. A fun experience IMO.

I could get into soccer if I lived in Europe. The level of competition in the MLS is too low to care about.

I enjoy going to the Wizards games, it's a dramatically improved experience since the Arrowhead days. Hopefully it will get even better when the Bannister location is finished. Shoot me a PM Farzin if you're ever heading to a game.

Arrowhead is not a soccer stadium (they obviously don't sell out for Wizard games.)

Unlike Arrowhead, CABP is more of an open-area type of stadium. Arrowhead is just full of seats. Now if the MLS was more competitive, I guess Arrowhead would be the appropriate home due to attendance. The Wizards claim that they sellout every game and they do a good job getting a full house every game. I just hope the new stadium will be nice..

Actually, the Wizards have had more success than the Chiefs have in the past ten years.

One of the main issues now in the MLS, at least IMO, will be making sure they continue to get new talent unfused into the league. The last few rookie classes have looked good, and we're seeing clubs make use of the designated player tag but as expansion and subsequent expansion drafts occur, there certainly remains a danger of diluting the talent.

I really really enjoy the Wizards and Soccer in general. I have to admit though I was not nearly as tuned into the premiership has I was before but I really love the keeping in touch with the US national team...and our lil local MLS team. I know the level of play is up and down...usually down. But I love that they are KC's team and I like the community that organization has built around it.

Chiefs and Royals. I will go to an occasional T-Bones game for fun, but don't follow the team.

I'd love to get a hockey team in here.

I've been to a Wizards game and honestly it didn't do anything for me.

Royals and Chiefs, though I lost the ferver for the Chiefs once it became apparent that they're hopeless a few years back.

The Royals may suck but they've been my team since birth so I put up with it. Grudgingly.

News flash... the Chiefs suck. The Royals could lose all their remaining games this year and have a better winning percentage than last years Chiefs.

News Flash.

Both teams suck, and it doesn't make one damn bit of difference who has the higher winning percentage.

Thanks I didn't understand that the Royals have also sucked until you posted that. Of course it wasn't the point of my post but as long as you feel better.

Of course there are varying degrees of suckage.

Chiefs were ONCE a mediocre team and thus only SUCKED in the playoffs.

A team like the Lions have almost always sucked in the past three decades. (Barry Sanders made them better but they still sucked)

Since I'm not *in* Missouri any more, I haven't developed an interest in the teams that came to KC after I left.

I follow the Chiefs
I check up on the Royals now and then (then again, I don't really follow baseball anymore.)
I used to really like the KC indoor soccer team in the 80s. Obviously, the MISL isn't really a big deal these days. *grin*

Plus, I'm more a UCM fan than a Div I fan. For some reason, I enjoy talking college sports with Div II fans more.

Beyond that, I really don't follow other sports at all . . . KC or otherwise

I think the Chiefs would still win in this poll no matter what. If it was a Chiefs or non-Chiefs forum, it would not surprise me much.
