I mailed my amended tax return in on June 11th and I was wondering how long I can expect it. Has anybody amended their tax return yet to get it? If so, how long did it take. Just curious. Gotta get 'dat money

I thought they just took that amount off of your gross income for this year, so you would be getting a tax "break" next april. Not a check like some think.

If he amended his 2008 return it will have no impact on 2009 taxes. He will be getting a check sometime in the near future.

I've heard it takes like 6-8 weeks. I'm going to be doing that in the near future.

I amended my 2008 tax return. Don't want to wait for April of next year to get my jack. Cost me $295 bucks too, which was a surprise.

What you are describing is a deduction instead of a credit. Credits >>>>>>Deductions

I filed mine on April 1 and got it around May 15. Seems like it was almost exactly 6 weeks for me.

Christ man. I did mine with Turbotax, so it didn't cost me anything more than the software did when I originally purchased it.

Sounds like you used the tax firm of Dewey, Cheatum and Howe.
