Ok.

so, what band/guitarist did you not appreciate until after they 'passed' on / you got older?

My recent threat about the band "Boston" got me thinking. While I may have been fixzated on guitarists such as Joe Satriani, Jake E. Lee, Gary Hoey, Kirk Hammett etc there are plenty of other 'guitarists' in the main-stream that warrant attentiion ( aside from satch, EVH, Vai, Malmsteen, Petrucci, Rhoades, Gilbert, Freidman, Lynhch etc).

Who are the 'other guitarists' that provided good times, good vibes, and good licks (Katipan....you stay outof this :D)?
Neil Shon comes to mind
DeMartini (sp?) from Ratt
Izzy Stradlin
Jake Lee
etc

I'm not quite following, do they have to be dead?

or after you got old, he said.

One I can think of is Nancy Wilson of Heart. A very talented guitarist and songwriter growing up surrounded by a males only guitar fraternity. She more than held her own.

Have always appreciated Led Zep, but was listening to Mothership on headphones the other day and got a renewed appreciation for how intricate the bass work was
