Hey guys...

One of my good friends and coach of my son's baseball team... his son, Ryan and one of my son's teammates was diagnosed with a brain tumor growing near the brain steam and is having surgery tomorrow at Childrens Mercy.

Please send a healing prayer to the Man upstairs.

They are good people and Ryan is a delightful little dude.

I don't pray often, but I sent a prayer for that poor kid. It always makes me sad seeing an innocent child get cancer, prayer sent.

Prayers going to him and his family. There is a 4 year old boy in our church that has one. They've determined (at this point) that it's inoperable and they don't know how long he has. Stuff like this is just too sad for words.

Unfortunately I was in the same circumstance this January. My little cousin passed away because of a reoccuring brain tumor. The best thing is he kept on truckin' through his prognosis (the doctors gave him 3mos. max in October or so). I'm glad he got to spend the holidays with all of his family - including me.

Prayers and thoughts your way. I hope this lil' guy continues to keep on truckin' as well.

Prayers for this little guy and his family.
Childrens Mercy is excellent and the best place for him to be to have this done.

Wow, I canít imagine what the parents are going through either. When MiniRadar had his hernia operation I bawled like a baby.
Thoughts and prayers for the whole family, doubling up for the little guy.

Update I just received in my inbox...

Hello family and friends,

I know some of you have heard and some have not. In less than 36 hours my son woke up, went for a head scan, got sent to the hospital and had a tennis ball sized tumor removed from his brain. He is in ICU and is doing well. So far. Pathology will take several days. Neuro surgeon got most of it out and does not seem to concerned with the residual left in his head.

I could go on and on, but I felt that I needed to at least get this out and hope that you are not upset by not hearing sooner (for those that haven't). I have never seen the level of response to something like this before so it was impossible to let everyone know.

I thank our heavenly father first and foremost for what he has accomplished and for my son and his care and prayers from way too many people to ever thank or name.?

I ask that you continue to pray for Ryan 'cause this dance is long from over.

Please let those people who are in our big circle of humanity and I will always be blessed to call all of you my family and friends.

All our thanks,

Dana Michelle Emma and our beloved Ryan

As I sit here looking at my very soon to be 7 year old sleeping I can't help but wipe the tears from my eyes. Ryan is most definitely in my prayers and there is no doubt in my mind he will have a quick and full recovery.

Agreed, it does make me thankful for what I have and to appreciate life and not to complain about the little things.

Thoughts and prayers on their way to him, hope he recovers quickly and is out playing baseball next fall.
