Kansas City

Chiefs fans haven't had much to get excited about lately, but they have a well-established history of being among the loudest and most supportive in the NFL. Arrowhead Stadium can be as intensely loud as some domed stadiums, and the atmosphere there is what earns K.C. a place on this list.

"Best NFL Cities" What exactly does that mean?

Does it mean the best fans of a team that consistently wins playoff games and and has a history of Super Bowl wins? , i.e. Steelers, Patriots, Packers, Cowboys, etc.

Everybody loves a winner but how many fans stick with their team through the down times? Does that make them a better fan than one that jumps on the bandwagon of a winner, like the majority of fans do?

ESPN's 2008 Best NFL Fans list.

5. Chiefs
Consecutive sellouts: 141 | Season-ticket waiting list: none

Kansas City is often referred to as the Green Bay of the AFC when it comes to fans. KC has a small-town feel, and the fans completely buy into the Chiefs. Arrowhead Stadium is a sea of red and the party begins early. There's nothing like arriving at a Chiefs game and smelling miles of smoking BBQ hours before game time.

Yeah I have no idea why people love going to that shithole so much. I will never set foot in that toilet of a city.

Somehow I think the actual teams overall record made a difference in this sites decision. For example, if we had been to the playoffs the last 3 years in a row we would be ranked higher as fans. Thats why I dont like this stuff.

"Suffering alongside your boys" is fucking retarded. Hybrid venues that keep the elements in-play on the field, and the merry blue fuck off of me, are just fine.

Record means shit in this list; it's all about atmosphere and fan dedication to the franchise.

Then explain how Cleveland made the list.

Cleveland has always had a great fan base. They've played better than KC the last 3 seasons too. If KC had been to the playoffs a couple times They would be hovering right around 3rd on the list.

Somebody needs to explain why we were ranked higher as a fan base in the 90's than we are now if they dont understand how overall record plays into this decision.

Have any of you ever been to a game in the superdome? Then shut the fuck up. I went to one, and I have to admit, it was the best game I've ever been too. Not because of the game, but the fans, and how goddamned funny they were. Paper bags on their heads, cheering for the packers, and not the saints. Shitfaced, and the cheeseheads who were visiting were mortified.

As for New Orleans being a shithole and smelling bad, go smell downtown kc when the wind is out of the north blowing across the river in the summertime. All port cities smell bad. At least New Orleans has a culture and history to be proud of.

OK this in no way explains why New Orlean should be ranked #2?! You basically said they have shit fans, yet this list is based off of best fans.

New Orleans has a lot of voo doo shops I hear. Must be because they have more people per capita that believe in that stupid ass religion. N.O is also responsible for some of the worst rap of all time.

Flame and neg rep this fucking troll. Haley would see no reason to be nice to some pussy fan of the Texans even if it is just an exhibition game. Take a hike.
