Almost a million US citizens have signed. This will be delivered to Washington before the Sept vote in the House. For those that want a single-payor govt run system please disregard. But for those that want "quality and timely care" that 'only' comes from the private sector right up until God takes you home please click on the link below:

I read that it got tucked into another bill with little fanfare and was passed. I'd have to check on it but I recall reading that.

It's about time our representatives free health care from the grips of the corporate establishment. Wall Street health care is an oxymoron and has been proven so by its track record.

That "corporate establishment" you refer to WANTS us all on public health care. That should tip you off that it isn't good for us.

Exactly. Look at what Wal-Mart supports. Surprising but they support this healthcare for 2 reasons.

1) They know the small businesses who compete against them can't afford the fines if they(small businesses)opt out of Obamacare, thus putting many small companies out of business.

2) They save huge expenses by forcing all their employees to take the govt plan. Their profit margin increases.

That's because they envision the Bush Medicare model in which they are given the keys to the kingdom. That is not the model any of us should hope for. In fact, I believe Obama has talked about undoing that Medicare provision. Which is what I've been advocating since the day it was implemented. It was intended as nothing more than a corporate windfall and provided no additional benefits to the elderly and disabled. All it did was bilk the taxpayer for the sake of corporate welfare.

As long as we do this right it will be better than the corporate health care system. But if we do it like Bush did it then I agree with you because that would be nothing more than another corporate windfall. That is not what I am advocating.
