At 47-76 and carrying the league's longest losing streak at 4 games, the Royals are on pace to win 61 games this year. BUT, that is using their winning percentage that includes the fluke start of 18-11. If you exclude that start, the Royals are on pace to win a mere 11 games for the rest of the season. That puts them with 58 wins. That would give them 104 losses.

So, the question is, has the dynamic duo of Moore\Hillman put together a team that can win even 60 games?

Methinks we need Haley to walk across to parking lot and give them the old "I can win 60 games with 25 guys off the street!" routine!

holy shit, they are 29-65 since their 18-11 start, my fucking gosh, that is pitiful. Has anyone in mlb history had that bad of stretch

Here is the worst part. Had we not had a good start, we would be looking at 112-113 losses, as opposed to 103-104.

But Hillman is the man! I am sorry, I know there are kocks on Moore and all that, but you just have to be a piss-poor coahed team to tank that bad.

I don't think it would have anything to do with changing the lineup every game and usually during the game as well, over-extending pitchers, calling for bunts when you shouldn't and not when you should, not taking the bat out of the players's hands when you need someone to take a pitch or two or lay a bunt down as opposed to swing away, afraid to use the best closer in baseball for 4 outs then oh ok, we will use him for for but not 5, but then we run him out there for 6...the list goes on and on

Over what timeframe? I'm pretty sure that they could get their 60th win sometime in the 2010 season- probably before the all-star break - if they kept the team intact. ;)

I really wish they would turn it around and resemble a MLB franchise. Two decades is enough of this rubbish.

Garbage. It is all garbage. I invested a good amount of time, and money this year in them b/c I thought they resembled a new beginning. This is pretty pathetic, and I have only seen what two winning seasons in my life

They will fall 1 game short for the worst record, after taking a 4 game lead on the nats, because they decide to win the last 2 weeks and the nats will get the #1 pick

I might have 1 more game in me, it sucks
