They are going to have to rally. 7-0 Saints, after the opening drive by New Orleans.

Only one 3rd down on that 80 yard drive, and that was inside the 10. Zero resistance from that shitty _efence.

I loved the TD immediately after the Raider's announcer was going nuts after Nhandi Asomugha breaks up a pass, leading to the announcer to proclaim matter of factly that he is in fact the best corner in the game. On the TD Asomugha is flagged only for illegal contact(which on the reply was a blatant hold).

Good stuff Faiders.

Yes and they keep talking about how it's too hot for the Raiders...they aren't used to the heat. No Todd Haley-coached team is going to fade in the heat. You, sir, are not a Todd Haley-coached team.

Actually they're booing because their ankle bracelets are malfunctioning, giving them a mild shock similar to the taser hits that 90% of those stupid freaks have experienced.

This could be a good thing for the Faid. I don't know the situation on his heirs, but......

I think they have a clear case that they could take to court to prove he's gone senile. ROFL

Says the fan of a team who has gone 6-26 the past 2 seasons and has not won a playoff game in the past decade.

I'm no Raider fan but we can point fingers and laugh when we have actually won a Super Bowl... much less a playoff game.

The Broncos on the other hand... now that shit is funny.

Um, the Broncos have been a lot more respectable than the Raiders over the past 10 years. Granted, it's been a fun off-season.

Well, you're close if you add both scores up and give them to the saints (21+14 = 35).

Saints - 31

New Raider Greg Ellis unloads after blowout

Posted by Tom Curran on August 30, 2009 10:05 AM ET
Through 11 seasons with the Dallas Cowboys, Greg Ellis became familiar with what a circus atmosphere could be like.

But did he know when he signed with the Raiders in June that he was climbing into the NFL's biggest clown car?

After Oakland's 45-7 (it wasn't even that close) loss to the Saints on Saturday, the 34-year-old defensive end spoke to his teammates through reporters.

"Guys, you can't stay out all night, can't expect to come in here and just turn it on," Ellis was quoted as saying by Paul Gutierrez of the Sacramento Bee. "This isn't high school or college football. This is the best of the best in the NFL. So you've got to do those small things that you maybe didn't have to do in college."

As bad as the Raiders offense played, the defense -- of which Ellis now finds himself a part -- was even worse.

Gutierrez notes, "The Raiders first-team defense played through the third quarter and was responsible for most of the 536 total yards surrendered including a galling 232 yards on the ground."

Saints quarterback Drew Brees, who led New Orleans to touchdowns on all three of his drives, said, "I feel like a lot of times we were getting up to the ball, getting set and they were still trying to get lined up."

Making matters even more dicey for the Raiders is that their best player, corner Nnamdi Asomugha, suffered a chip fracture in his wrist against New Orleans. Oakland downplayed the severity of it, but a corner kind of needs to use his hands and it could very well nag him all year.

All in all, despite the pretzel logic employed by some to conclude that the Raiders might be galvanized after head coach Tom Cable's alleged beatdown of assistant coach Randy Hanson, the opposite is true.

The Raiders are a mess.
