Cardinals released TE Leonard Pope.
The 2006 third-rounder has the look of a prototypical tight end, but he just never developed as a blocker. It's telling that Dominique Byrd made the final cut ahead of Pope. The Saints and the Bengals could come calling.

I'd take him, his size alone is worth it as a blocking TE.

If Dominque Byrd made it over him no fucking thanks. Bryd is garbage.

Byrd was on the Rams which might factor in, in college he was an outstanding receiver.

Yeah, I just was saying "I wonder if the Chiefs claim Pope" to myself when I read that. I'm pretty sure we will put a claim on him unless Haley hates him.

This is already on another thread, but I think Leonard Pope is a decent player, who would upgrade our TEs. He actually has skills and was widely thought of as a top TE prospect at one point.
