He has absolutely been pwning the Panthers today. I can't wait to go to a Falcons game to watch him play again.

Assuming you want to win a few more games this year? Yep. Assuming you want the team to be better in the long run? Nope.

Yes, we would be 2-0 with him. ROFL

Tony's absence will be felt for awhile, but trading him was not stupid.

Why don't we wait a year or two before we declare that a bust.

We should of traded him earlier when we knew we would suck and his value was highest...

would Tony blitz the QB?

I love Tony and he is still the best TE in the game but we aren't looking to be a Super Bowl contender this year. We want long term success. It sucks that he isn't with us any longer but getting a 2nd rounder for a old TE is not stupid.

I don't mind this trade. Tony deserved a chance to win a superbowl or at least win a playoff game. Good for him and we got a 2nd round pick. The trade I'm starting to regret is the JA one.

Not really with Carl and Herm making the pick.

Clearly this was why the trade was made. Smart move...

Ah....The inevitable "we should never had traded Tony" thread.

Perfect avatar for the thread starter.

This. Don't be selfish. Tony deserved to play on a contender.

Tony doesn't deserve shit. He was traded because he was whining too much.

Yes because a TE is so crucial to a winning team.... man I remember all those playoff wins Tony won for us :shake:

Weren't we 0-2 this time last season with Tony?
