This seems like pretty big news, whether it's harvestable or not. Water means oxygen.

As I read that, I pictured you wiping off your monocle in between sniffs of a 1983 Merlot, which is really a feat considering your nose is pointing directly North.

And we're going to let China have all that water? Damn it, Obama!!!

I've had it. Enough, I say. I have stood for long and I can stand no more. It's time to get our ass to the moon and claim some damn water. Besides, once there, we can set up shop. But, we have to get there first. Then, as the Chinese finally arrive, we can do some bidness.

Thirsty, Chinaman? Feeling a little dry there, my little Chinese friend? Long trip? Need to wash up? Here, try some water. American Moon water, baby. Born on the moon, and personally pissed out by you, our valued Chinese customer.

I figure it'll be worth at least 200,000 yen a bottle not accounting for inflation or radiation poisoning.

It's not native water. It's tears left by Buzz Aldrin after Armstrong kicked him in the nutsack for trying to get out the door first.

We can't spend a dime on the space program until every last illegal alien, drug addict, and drunk in America is a millionaire with full medical benefits..

Indeed Mr. FAX, a grinning & winning way to confirm an ugly, absolute truth...America MUST stay dominant in the sky's above, our symbol isnt the Eagle for nothing.

Its great to work & learn together on the ISS, but allowing China first permanent establishment on the moon spells DOOM IMO...if we're not already established there right now, which of course, is entirely plausible.

Normally I'm not one to tow the company line, but in this case I must agree with Mr. Scott Free. If the Chinese take control of the Moon Pie market, the results could be.....disastrous for the West.

let's start drilling and see if we can find some oilAnd do what with it? We would need one big ass pipeline to get it here. Guess we might as well try and get some use out of the moon though. Only thing it does right now is get the werewolves rialed up.

We really should get on the moon quickly before other areas try to. It's got a huge amount of Helium 3 in it's soil that it's absorbed from the Sun over millions of years.

Here's a tidbit from the below article.
Scientists estimate there are about 1 million tons of helium 3 on the moon, enough to power the world for thousandsof years. The equivalent of a single space shuttle load or roughly 25 tons could supply the entire United States' energy needs for a year, accordingto Apollo17 astronaut and FTI researcher Harrison Schmitt.

I've seen this study. It'll have to be much more economical to start harvesting for energy uses on earth yet. As a source of energy for a base on the moon I think it's more feasible in the near future.
